Delicious steak! And we come from steak country (South Africa - although the Aussies and Americas may argue that one). After eating delicious Greek fare for a few weeks, we decided it was time for something different, something steaky. I didn’t have huge expectations as Crete is famous for other cuisines, not this. What a pleasant surprise. Peter (the owner) and his team served us the most delicious rib eye steaks (from Ireland), but we could also have sirloin from Ecuador. My wife and daughter raved about the steaks, and I smashed a beautiful cheese burger that tasted like Roadhouse burgers from the 70’s. No resemblance to the plastic food or messy saucefests you get at most chains and wannabe burger 🍔 crafters. Fries were great too, and the beer was cold and Aperol spritz just right. I came here a couple years back when I was stationed in Greece. Major hub for Americans here. The food itself was good and most of the staff was nice. The owner, Pete was a creepy man. Heavily leaned on myself and others into buying booze through insults and pressure. No joke. Very snide remarks about women from him as well. I don't appreciate his unprofessionalism, as an adult male and a business owner. Hopefully the past couple years have changed him and he came to his senses. Who knows, because I won't be back.

I had a great experience here! It took me a moment to realize the american dollars behind the bar were out of place. I was having a very late lunch, around 4pm, so I had the place to myself and the opportunity to chat with the bartender and the owner. When the food came it was delicious. I had the lamb chops and veggies. I didn't feel rushed when I finished and did a bit of writing on my laptop afterward. If you're an English speaker who wants a taste of home this is a great place with great food. I wish I could've stayed later to have cocktails with the locals. I'll be back the next time I'm...
