Wat een fijne plek is Bites! Klein maar sfeervol met een menukaart vol verrassend lekkere Griekse lunchgerechten. Genoten van een simpele tosti, een goed gevulde pita, een wrap, een hamburger tot een koele frappé erbij, precies wat je nodig hebt op een warme dag. De eigenaresse is Grieks Nederlands en samen met haar man runt ze dit zaakje met zoveel warmte en aandacht dat je je er meteen thuis voelt. We voelden ons echt welkom. Afsluiten deden we met een bolletje heerlijk ijs. Kortom: zoek je een lekkere en ontspannen plekje met een Grieks tintje en een gastvrij ontvangst? Dan is Bites een aanrader!

This was probably the first restaurant I found in Crete that served vegan and vegetarian options. The food and service was exceptional. This place has such a lovely atmosphere and is extremely clean. The food was so fresh and had a homemade taste to it. Highly recommended to vegans and vegetarians. I'm going back tomorrow that's how good...

Food was amazing perfect portion sizes

Was helpful with swapping my child's food from menu as he is fussy

The sauce in the club sandwich a yellow colour was amazing and tasty

Leider können wir die guten Bewertungen gar nicht teilen. Das vegane Patty im Burger war vlt. halb so groß wie das Burgerbrot, die Frühlingsrollen und Pommes einfache TK-Ware (das haben wir während unseres Urlaubes auf Kreta ganz anders - nämlich home-made - erlebt). Das Chicken Gyros besrand aus abzählbarem, vertrocknetem Hühnerfleisch. Über Nachfragen, ob man im Verhältnis zu Pommes und Pitabrot vlt. noch etwas Hühnerfleisch nachhaben könnte, hieß es: "Sorry, Mrs., that's the portion." Preis-Leistung passt hier leider nicht, griechische Gastfreundschaft und Kulinarik sieht leider anders aus.

Die Toilletten waren außerdem äußerst schmutzig, kein Toilettenpapier, kein Papier für die Hände, und das, obwohl wir kurz nach Aufsperren des Lokals um 19 Uhr eintrafen.
