||Neon Hotel, Stalis 23/9/23 to 7/10/23||We chose this hotel when booking due to its proximity to a sandy beach, plus restaurants and shops nearby. We were not disappointed. It is a family run hotel and they are lovely. The two people we interacted with the most were Aristea (who runs reception) and Maria (who runs the bar). Dad, mum and brother were also present but we didn’t interact with them much. Aristea and Maria are lovely and would do anything to help you. We asked for sea view rooms once we arrived, and they were able to accommodate us, which was lovely. As it was very hot at the start of the holiday, we were able to sleep with the balcony doors open at night, listening to the waves, which was incredibly relaxing. We did request aircon later on, also supplied no problem. Although the hotel is right on the road, being at the back we didn’t hear any road noise. Also, we did not hear any noise from the surrounding bars and restaurants which was very peaceful.||We spent a lot of time around the pool, which was lovely and also not busy. We did venture on to the sandy beach which was quite narrow but clean. The sea was really calm to start with and so warm and clear. The beach directly in front of the hotel didn’t have sunbeds which was nice. Either side did. To the left they charged 6 euros for 2 (I believe, we didn’t use them) but to the right were more expensive in front of Alexandra hotel. Maria kept us entertained at the bar, which we frequented often. Well it’s 5 o’clock somewhere! She was so lovely. We did sometimes have lunch there which was very reasonable and filling. We usually shared a club sandwich and Greek salad (approx. 12 euros) and cocktails (5-7 euros) or Mythos bear (3euros). Our daughter joined us for the 2nd week and the family were so lovely to her as well. Our rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels and bedding every other day. You really couldn’t ask for more. Breakfast was continental style and more than adequate, with cereals, toast, eggs, old meat, croissants, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and juice all in plentiful supply. All in all we had a lovely holiday and the family were wonderful. ...
Read moreWe have just come back from our stay at Neon Hotel. We stayed in room 201. This room had been refurbished and was so lovely! We are a family of 4. Our boys had the bedroom at the back of the apartment. They had their own sink and fridge and a small balcony to the side of the hotel. |We had maid service everyday and regular towel changes. |We had the bedroom to the front of the apartment, with our own fridge and kettle. Our balcony was a lovely size. We over looked the pool and had sea view. All the windows and patio doors had covers over to stop any insects flying in and we were able to keep the doors and windows open. Air conditioning was 8 euros per night. Hotel tax was 28 euros for 14 nights. |We never had any complaints with our stay at Neon. Maria and her family are so welcoming. We were greeted on our arrival at 2am by Maria and her brother. He took us up to our room and carried my case for me, which was a lovely touch! We ate and drank at Neon most lunchtimes and ate out at the many amazing restaurants right on our doorstep. Neon Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It had a lovely size pool, many sun beds which was always available. Ball games and lilos were allowed. |You walk up the steps by the back of the pool and walk straight down to the sandy beach, where there were plenty of sun beds. There are plenty of restaurants along the beach and water sports. |Neon is at the quieter end, which was perfect for us. As soon as you walk out the front entrance the street is buzzing with people walking to restaurants and the little shops. The main restaurants were to the right but there is a lovely restaurant opposite and to the left, which we ate in both. Further up the road on the left side of Neon was a lovely restaurant called Lokal Eat Greek. They do amazing food and really reasonable. We visited Kostas for the Greek night, Katerina. Hired a car, quad bike and e-bikes and took a ride on the happy train. All in all our holiday was so lovely and staying at Neon|really made it for us. Maria, thank you |to you and your family for making our stay at your...
