Flisvos Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Ermionida

Personally our favourite dinner in Porto Cheli over our stay around the area.

Two mains cooked over the coal fire (which is set up outside in the seating area). One fish plate and one meat, Greek salad, fried cheese and tomato, bread, beer and spirits. A lovely male and female serving and I will only assume the owner… on the BBQ.

We arrived to warmth and pleasure. Being someone who likes to eat out and in Porto Cheli particularly we had food at a handful of places that shout out at you on google - as a tourist. This place was hands down the best experience for authentic Greek food and Greek personality. The food was cooked absolutely to perfection and the hosts didn’t even embarrass us by cutting and boning the fish for us, which we took great pleasure in doing so ourselves, but with this in mind - we already had experience in doing so.

When departing the (assumed owner - bbq man) took time to pull us back and give relaxed recommendations and warmth on where else to try just out of town… which we did so and was also not disappointed.

10/10 and in addition we was given free complimentary ice cream… which we demolished happily.

While walking along the shop fronts we were drawn to the low-key atmosphere of the patio of this small restaurant, with relaxed wait staff and an outdoor grill. Food was incredible, among the best we had during two full weeks in Greece. I had some sort of meatball dish, which was airy and delicious. When paying I told the owner how good everything was, and I could tell by his warm and appreciative response how much this place meant to him and how much he cared. De gastvrouw verwelkomt je hartelijk en bedient je met veel enthousiasme. De gastheer staat achter de bbq klaar om heerlijke souvlakis te grillen. De typische Griekse gerechten zoals Moussaka, Pastitsio, Kip in de oven enz .worden met veel liefde voorbereidt door de mama. Goede prijs- en kwaliteitsverhouding. Een taverne waar ook de Grieken zelf graag naartoe gaan.
