Mystical View Kommos Kedraki — Restaurant in Municipality of Festos

So sad. Bring back the old Mystical View!

Mystical View has been taken over and has lost its authenticity and the reasons why we loved it. Over the years, we’d eat there 4 times a week as we loved the food, the characterful staff and the simplicity of it, but all that has disintegrated.

It has been gentrified but unfortunately is all sizzle and no sausage. Ie. Looks all fancy with new decor, but food is more expensive, our dorado was barely past adolescence (very small) and deep fried rather than chargrilled, rose wine not cold and one waitress was rather surly. Such a shame. We feel quite bereft!

We had one main dish and a Greek salad between two of us, 500ml carafe of wine and one beer. Was close to €50.

Let’s hope that Pitsidia doesn’t become gentrified and loses its identity due to tourism.

Good food and amazing view on the bay, BUT the man serving table was extremely rude, aggressive and unpleasant. We waited 30 minutes to get our drinks (it was a very hot day) and the main courses arrived after 1h30. Every time we asked for anything or simply said something we received very rude answers and passive aggressive commentaries, like he was mocking us. He was acting like he was doing a favour to us, to serve his costumers bringing money to the house. We read that other people noticed the same attitude referring to this guy in particular. Maybe it's time for him to withdraw from this job and let his place to someone more fit to make a business...
