This is one of the most special restaurants in the island - the quality of the food is excellent and the service consistently welcoming and friendly. The staff set a wonderful ambience from the first greeting and the quality of the ingredients is second to none. Authentic, beautifully cooked and imaginative dishes and always a wide variety of interesting vegetarian options. The home made wine and raki are the best I have come across in crete. This is a must visit. Parking is easy. Card payments are accepted but the internet connection is slow. This restaurant offers something really special and is well worth a visit. Although it's hard to decide, this was probably the best meal my wife and I had in a week of driving around Crete (which is saying a lot, as we ate pretty well everywhere). Giorgos was a delightful and generous host, who took the time to explain the details of the menu and their offerings, as well as some insight into the history and culture of Crete and the surrounding area. We hope to come back. All of the dishes we tried were spectacular, but the roasted sea bream really won the show (although the mussels cooked in ouzo were also fantastic). Excellent taverna with very delicious food. The taverna offers a beautiful setting on a balcony or terrace, tastefully decorated with lights and beautiful stone walls. The food was excellent. Much more sophisticated than normal tavernas and even slightly better than at "Loggia". The wine is produced by the family and the service is excellent any very friendly.
