We were fooled. EUR 33 for four juices and mineral water. The friendly service distracts you from the fact that the menu does not show the prices for the drinks. The food prices are reasonable, so you assume that beverages are in line with the prices elsewhere in Crete. Not really. EUR 6.50 for a glass of orange juice. EUR 3.50 for a bottle of sparkling water. First time I have to deal with this in Crete. Such a shame. They really don't need to resort to this sort of trick...

You're in for a surprise. Friendly service, the menu shows the prices for the food (reasonable), so you go ahead and order an orange juice. EUR 6,50 for a glass of orange juice. We had 4 juices and mineral water - guess what? EUR 33! Only then I realized that the menu does not show the prices for the drinks. It is a shame that they choose to profit by hiding information. This was my only negative experience in Crete....

I'll be honest, we just stepped in to get out of the rain for a bit. Everyone spoke near perfect english. Dude behind the counter was into metal. Some other guy knew a bunch of my favorite punk bands and some random Korean tourist was blogging while jamming with the locals and talking about music with the whole cafe. It was one of the highlights of my time...
