Makis is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PLACE to eat when we visit Makrigialos! The owner and chef is Makis himself. You will often see him preparing dishes with his lovely wife alongside him. The food is top tier in quality and preparation. The chicken is the best I have Ever had. Makis has a special seasoning that makes it Unique and delicious. But that is just the beginning. The lamb is unbelievable as well. Lamb is my favorite dish. So I always anticipate the first bite of his chops. Perfectly prepared and mouthwateringly delicious. I don't quite know what it is. But I Absolutely crave the French fries as well. Souvlaki and Pita and all manner of delicacy come out of that wonderful kitchen. Which is open and you can see Makis cooking and making certain you have all of what you need. The service is of course excellent as well. Not only efficient but Friendly and Kind. Makis is an Unbelievably Kind and Generous person. He is Genuine in all that he does and is. That is the secret of his success and the Reason my wife, Maria and myself, Terry look forward to seeing him and his family when we visit Crete. I could mention many other dishes that are mouthwateringly good. But to save time I will just say this. Come to Makis with a big appetite and an open heart. Makis will fill both with Love and Kindness. That which he pours into each morsel and delicacy that comes out of his kitchen. Until we meet again, Makis... I had a delightful dining experience at the local Greek restaurant! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The highlight of the meal was the outstanding cacikis, a refreshing yogurt and cucumber dip that left me craving for more. The flavors were perfectly balanced and complemented the pita bread beautifully.

Additionally, the chicken livers were an unexpected surprise! Cooked to perfection, they were tender and seasoned just right, showcasing the chef's skill in preparing this often underappreciated dish. The portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying and fulfilling meal.

While my overall experience was fantastic, I do have a slight criticism. The waiting time for our main courses was slightly longer than expected, which affected the overall flow of the meal. However, the flavors and presentation of the dishes made up for this minor inconvenience.

Έχουμε φάει και παραγγείλει αρκετές φορές απ' το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί. Είναι μια οικονομική λύση και εύκολο λόγο ντελιβερι. Σήμερα για κάποιο λόγο μας τα χάλασαν. Όχι μόνο μας έφεραν λάθος τη παραγγελία αλλά είχαν το θράσος να μας τη πούνε κι όλας. Και αφού δεν είχα την ευκαιρία να τους ξεχεσω απ' το τηλέφωνο γιατί μίλησε το αγόρι μου, νομίζω αξίζει να πω δυο λόγια εδώ. Παραγγείλαμε τρία πιτογυρα, μας ήρθαν τέσσερα. Μιλάω στον ντελιβερα, μου λέει "εμένα αυτά μου έδωσαν" 13 ευρώ εντομεταξυ τα τρία πιτογυρα. Τα πληρώνω. Το λέω στο αγόρι μου και παίρνουμε τηλέφωνο. Μας λένε να τα ανοίξουμε όλα να δούμε ποια είναι τα σωστά και να στείλουμε πίσω το ένα έξτρα. Στο μεταξύ ανοίγοντας βλέπουμε ότι λείπουν υλικά και παίρνουμε ξανά τηλέφωνο. Μέσα στην όλη συζήτηση με θράσος του είπαν "ε καλά και λίγο κρεμμύδι δεν έχετε να κόψετε να βάλετε μέσα;" Έτσι ακριβώς όπως το γραφω. Αυτή είναι η δουλειά σας; Να μας υποδειξετε πως θα σουλουπωσουμε τη λάθος παραγγελια; Να ήταν δα και κανένα αριστούργημα, να ελεγα, δε πειραζει. Αλλά να πουλάτε μετριότητες και να ακούμε και ειρωνεία; Όχι, δεν κρατάνε έτσι μαγαζί! Ελπίζω τη κρητική να τη διαβάσει κόσμος και να σας κάνει ζημιά γιατί ήσασταν αγενεστατοι. Και εγώ τουρίστρια στη χώρα μου είμαι. Δεν έχω την υποχρέωση να ανεχομαι τέτοια...
