Grand Chalet — Restaurant in Municipality of Kalavryta

Restaurant is placed on the mountains and the view is really nice. It is like a Greek taverna and they make traditional products like liqueur and 🍯 honey and Balsamic vinegar etc. The food was nice and the prices super okay. Had steak 🥩 really nice, giouvetsi -it was not that good, fasolada was tasty, pasta with 🐓 rooster also really nice and a salad 🥗. Salad was ok, not something special. A really lovely place in what seemed like in the middle of nowhere. We stopped here for a break as were visiting the Monastery across the road. Lots going on here packed the locals (always a good sign) I went to the gift shop but as everything was in greek I didn't understand anything, but then a really lovely lady came over sensing I was bit lost and really helped me out. She deserves 5 stars for herself, I'm just sorry I didn't catch her name. If you're reading...

We called before getting there and were told there is a table for two. We got there and of course the place was completely full. The waiter greeted us and then saw a friend who came in as well and simply ditched us and chatted to his friends. We just stood there for maybe 5 mins just to see if he will take any interest in trying to seat us. Of course not so we just left. Awful service before...
