Blue Sea — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

Sorry, this is awful in all ways. We had been told by a local that it was the best pizza ever... sadly, it's probably the worst pizza we ever had. It's like a frozen pizza and had a crust so hard you might risk breaking a tooth, and definitely will cut the roof of your mouth, and your gums.

The service was interesting. We had made a booking, so we got seated in the empty restaurant (booked for 19:30). Another couple came in shortly after and asked if they could have a table, and the staff shrugged and said "if you want". We tried to create a bit of a rapport with the staff, and possibly what we had previously considered rude was perhaps a very, very dry sense of humour.

I am sorry, but we cannot recommend it to other people.

We can, however, recommend Krinos, Three Dolphins, Zorbos (for gyros), House of Gyros (make sure to get the Fava!!!), and Lyra and Friends...

The restaurant is situated in a nice area, yet there is no love in the cooking. It's clearly a fine place for a snack, but I'm sad to see that much of their menu is frozen. I like talking to waiters and staff but the guy here was just a little too weird and just talked a bit too much about stuff you don't talk to customers about. He clearly had a good enough intention, but it came of as a bit annoying when he advised me on my injury etc. I think I'll stick to medical professionals for that. There is a difference between conversation and being pushy about some topics and it kinda turned pushy when he repeatedly came back and added more and more advise and stories... But I'm sure he had a good place of heart...

Un luogo visivamente affascinante, ma purtroppo frequentarlo significa assistere a un grave esempio di scortesia e insensibilità. Appena seduti, ho chiesto un po’ d’acqua per la mia cagnolina: non solo la richiesta è stata rifiutata, ma il tutto è avvenuto con un’espressione di palese disprezzo e indifferenza. Un atteggiamento che denota non solo assenza di professionalità, ma anche totale mancanza di rispetto verso gli animali e chi li considera parte della propria famiglia. Inaccettabile in qualunque contesto, ancor più in un locale che dovrebbe distinguersi per ospitalità.

Ένας χώρος οπτικά γοητευτικός, αλλά δυστυχώς η επίσκεψή του σημαίνει να γίνεσαι μάρτυρας ενός σοβαρού παραδείγματος αγένειας και αναλγησίας. Μόλις καθίσαμε, ζήτησα λίγο νερό για τη σκυλίτσα μου· όχι μόνο το αίτημα απορρίφθηκε, αλλά αυτό συνέβη με έκδηλη περιφρόνηση και αδιαφορία. Μια στάση που δείχνει όχι μόνο έλλειψη επαγγελματισμού, αλλά και πλήρη απουσία σεβασμού προς τα ζώα και όσους τα θεωρούν μέλη της οικογένειάς τους. Απαράδεκτο σε οποιοδήποτε πλαίσιο, πόσο μάλλον σε έναν χώρο που θα έπρεπε να ξεχωρίζει για τη φιλοξενία του.

A visually charming place, but unfortunately visiting it means witnessing a serious example of rudeness and insensitivity. As soon as we sat down, I asked for some water for my little dog; not only was the request refused, but it was done with an expression of blatant disdain and indifference. An attitude that shows not only a lack of professionalism, but also a complete absence of respect for animals and for those who consider them part of their family.
