Lyra and friends — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

Lyra and friends is a characteristic little bar/tavern, one of the few of Lefkos where you can taste some after dinner drinks. I strongly suggest everyone to pay a visit here, the cocktails are deliciously strong flavoured, the desserts are homemade, very caloric and very tasty (do try the brownies or the ice-cream and fruit cup). The atmosphere is magical, romantic and easygoing, it takes you to a place out of time and you'll discover yourself longing to visit Suzy and her husband. Enjoy your candlelit tables, be lulled by the breathing sea (it's right at your feet) and snap great pictures of the south-east bay. There are also a football table and many board games, if you're feeling competitive. Do share a word or two with the patrons, their kindness and good humour add value...

Very cute cocktail bar (outside is cute, inside is kind of irrelevant). Their caipirinha cocktail was lovely, so was their negroni. The espresso martinis (off-menu) and amaretto sours (also off-menu) were not good - they were just not made with proper ingredients (i.e., not fresh coffee, more like a coffee liqueur, and the amaretto sours didn't have the classic foam, and they were served in a martini glass rather than low bowl).

HOWEVER, it was super lovely there and a very popular spot for drinks. I would just stick to the classics / the menu. Would...

Google says Lyra and friends has the best drinks in Lefkos, Google is right, orderd four different drinks, everybody thought they was great, also nice looking drinks and owner was a nice guy.

A smal thing that makes difference, owners assistant changed our ashtray to a clean one, that is high quality service that shows they care about their customers
