We came back to 3dolphins many times during our 2 week stay. It actually became our favourite restaurant in Lefkos and one of our favourites in whole Karpathos (we tried many).
Good menu both for lunch and dinner. Atmosphere is extremely friendly and outgoing, staff and chef gladly help with any questions about the menu. While the place is busy/popular, the service is fluent. 3dolphins is a mix of a well organised modern bistro and a true greek taverna.
Food itself and the presentation are top notch. From chicken-pita to sea food and to traditional aubergine and zucchini dishes. It is also good to mention, that it is the only restaurant we tried on the island that does not charge extra for the bread.
We had a feel-good vibe in the restaurant every time and left with a smile, and so did many others. Highly recommended! Many thanks to the owners and staff!
Update 7.2024:
Nice to come back to our favourite, most visited restaurant in Lefkos. Homemade food of a highest standard, good size portions at a very reasonable price. One must definitely visit the 3 Dolphins and meet the owner/chef Nikita, most thoughtful, attentive and sociable person we've met in a...
Read moreFirst, met me just say that the typical hospitality of Greece was taken to a whole new level here. Nowhere else has the management of the hotel literally been standing and waiting for our arrival. Kind and welcoming service and absolutely no extra fuss. The room was ours to use as soon as we arrived, our heavy bags carried inside for us. Rooms are very tidy and well eqquiped, a fridge, a safe, running water and even a little electric kettle for boiling water (all things I've been left missing in so called "first class" hotels and spas in Finland.) The view could arguably be better, a few hundred meters between the hotel and the beach are covered by parking lots and wasteland, but unlike most of the time, this was honestly explained when we booked the room. One tiny minus for the fact that the only form of air conditioning available is to open the doors, there's no ventilation or coolers...
Read moreVery nice experience. I had the todays special (greek meatballs with eggplant and tomato sauce, and briam, a delicious vegetable dish wich reminded me of ratatouille) And I must say that I normally really dislike eggplant. I find it just very bitter, mushy and with no other taste at all. But despite my fear of eggplant (it was in both dishes!) it looked rather apetizing, and I decided I could just pick off the eggplant. But I rejoice! The eggplant was buttery, tender, sweet tastiness. I applaud you. You have converted an eggplant hater.
For dessert I would have liked to try the ekmek, but since you were out of it, I had to settle with a giant piece of scrumptious walnut baklava.
My partner had chicken gyros, and was evidently very pleased, as all I heard was happy chewing noises, and saw a clean plate (except for the tomatoes, he loathes raw tomatoes, but don't hold that...
