House of Gyros — Restaurant in Municipality of Karpathos

I had an amazing dinner at this lovely taverna in Lefkos — truly one of the best meals I've had during my time in Greece. I tried the fava soup, which was rich, smooth, and full of flavor, and the gyros, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Simple dishes, but done incredibly well.

What really made the experience special was the staff — everyone was genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive, without being overbearing. You feel like a guest, not just a customer.

A place to highly recommend. We ate Gyros Pita several times for lunch and it tasted very good - perfect. Very nice staff and excellent service by Vasilis and family. We also lay on the beach and received excellent service from the Nepalese man (Gitaram?) - The man who took care of the sunbeds, arranged food/drinks on the beach and not least cleaned and tidied up every day. Love this place. Ate here several times. It’s right across the street from the beach and serves lunch and dinner. The gyros are delicious, kebob is outstanding and daily specials have each been great. The White house wine is dry and flavorful. The service is very good.
