Little India — Restaurant in Municipality of Kifisia

Let me start by saying that the service and overal atmosphere of the restaurant are very nice, people try their best. However contrary to most reviews and having been to indian restaurants around the world, the food does not taste like indian, it is more like adapted to greek taste: spices are not well cooked, food seems to be a mix of the meat you choose with a sauce. Even the scale of the spice was adapted, we took one dish with 3 out of max 4 (most spicy) and it was very little spicy. I also ordered a salty lassi, it was not salty at all and the drink was a plain, non sour yogurt mixed with creme, which is of course wrong. The ingredients used are fresh but the taste is certainly not indian, very far from it. The issue i believe is that meats are probably not simmered together with the gravy long enough so they you won't taste any spice well enough. The kitchen in my opinion prepares some different gravies and in the end mixes with the meat the customers chooses. We also had a paneer dish with spinach, the paneer was plain white which shows it was added in a kind of spinach puree at the last moment and heated. Ok taste but not Indian, no flavours to remember. Generally speaking in Greece my experience is that most greek reviewers have probably never travelled and tasted ethnic cuisines so they are clueless about how non greek food should taste like. In Greece with very few exceptions dinners should stick with greek cuisine which is delicious and mastered. Really disappointed with this place. First of all, it was really cold inside I had to keep my jacket. Second of all, I ordered a plate and was given another one and the waiter said it was what I ordered (tho I know it wasn't it was impossible lol). To my taste, this plate that I haven't ordered wasn't even tasty. And then, one of the cook passes in the restaurant and just BURPS in front of us. Anyway, really disappointed I expected more from this place. and the price in the end was too much knowing that I didn't like at...

Probably the worst food we had in Greece.

Naan was terrible. Some parts were burnt and it was dry.

Butter chicken was lumpy.

We had a potato and pea curry which was terrible.

(Edit) Regarding your reference to the fact that most of your other reviews are positive is irrelevant. I am only commenting on my experience. Most of my other reviews are also positive.
