Leonidas — Hotel in Municipality of Kissamos

We spent 3 wonderful days in quaint Drapania next to the beach at this wonderful peaceful place at Leonidas studios. ||On arrival, we received a generous treat of fresh orange juice, tomatos, traditional Cretian bread and a small decanter with Raki which was very invigorating and hugely generous and friendly.||Our host, Maria, a mother of two who's surely extremely busy caring for a house full of guests and the family offering so much to her guests. Always cheerful and friendly , she made us feel so very comfortable.||Surely, we didn't miss coffee bars, clubs and shops which is nowadays the usual sight. .but enjoyeda stroll along the peaceful waterfront.||Crete has changed so much in the last 20 years with All Inclusive and Club Holidays. . the traditional rural hideaway is difficult to find any more. Like here: A genuine gem.||We felt very welcome and no wish was unfulfilled .. We definitely will come again.|||Famous Phalasarna beach is a direct short bus drive from the central village road. - 9.30 every day, back at 5.20 p.m. and other return buses around 2 pm .. I stayed at Leonidas for a yoga holiday in may 2012 and I loved it. The location is very quiet and rural, a few km away from Kissamos little town and about 10 mn walk to Drapania village. Perfect if you want to rest with a few good books in a family atmosphere.||The food is incredibly good, everything is daily made with local products by the owners, Nikki and Costa, who are not only adorable people but fantastic cooks. The beach is 1 mn walk away from the rooms, which are simple but nice, big and airy with good beds, a little terrasse, fridge etc.||In conclusion, this place is not for people looking for night life, resort atmosphere or fancy deco, but if you are into relaxing away from the crowd and indulge on fabulous food in a warm family environment, this is the place ! ||||Ps: Sorry if you read this post twice but I had to receate my account after I have lost my...

Leonidas is loceted few meters from a calm beach in the suburbs of Kissamos. Owners are very kind and care for their guests to feel good and have everything what they need. Breakfasts are the same everyday, but very tasty and you can have it even at 12 o'clock. Everyday cleaning was very decent.||||I didn't like the thin door, which resulted that I woke up several times every morning because of noise at the corridor. Of course noise is a normal thing in hotel but the door should be better.I didn't really have a good sleep for the whole week.||In the bathroom there was no shower cabin, even no curtain. There was only a shower above the toilet. This is highly uncomfortable for me. Besides, the whole bathroom is wet after taking a shower.||||We didn't pay a lot for this hotel - around 210 EUR for 7 nights for 2 persons (at the end of June). For this price it...
