We stumbled upon this place by accident on our way to Elafonissi. I think this is the most unpleasant place we’ve ever been to in Greece. The atmosphere was terrible — dirty, with beer cans scattered all over the ground, which the waitress never bothered to pick up, even after serving the neighboring tables 30 minutes later.
Let’s talk about the service! No menu, no additional information! The “menu” consisted of a few things spoken aloud by the woman who served us, with no further explanation whatsoever. We ordered soft drinks to cool down after the long trip — and what did we get?! OMG — the bottles were moldy, and we later discovered they had expired over a year ago! Unfortunately, we realized this too late — after we had already drunk them.
And then came the food, served on a filthy paper tablecloth that was supposedly single-use, but looked like it had already been used at least twice before us — dirty utensils and a disgusting moussaka!🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢
It was pure squalor — absolutely filthy and revolting! And the prices? Outrageous for what they offered!
In short, the only good thing is the shade where you can take a break — and nothing more! The filth is overwhelming, and the prices are sky-high! There are far nicer places where you can enjoy a good meal and relax while exploring this...
Read moreLooking at the ratings from previous years and comparing them to recent ones, I can only assume something must have happened to lower the quality of this place significantly. The owner was super friendly, the place is nice, and the prices reasonable. Unfortunately, the food was literally unedible. The pork suvlaki (while seasoned nicely) was raw in the middle and it comprised mostly of hard, chewy fat and just a touch of actual meat. The fries were soft on the outside and still raw in the middle. The musaka was swimming in fat and it was way undercooked. The cutlery was filthy with bits of food still stuck to the forks (which the owner changed for us without issues) and the glasses were stained inside and out with fingerprints and dirt of some kind. To make matters worse, we were constantly bothered by what I can only assume was a disease ridden chihuahua. I would hate to see such a lovely place fall apart but, as things are now, I would not recommend...
Read moreThe menu is comprehensive but most of it is unavailable. The lady explained what was and we had pork souvlaki, moussaka and a Greek salad. They ran out of Mythos but the Alpha is fine. I tried the local white wine and asked for 0.5l and pretty sure the carafe was 1l! It's pretty strong too The kebabs were great. Moussaka fine and salad good. We were given raki and fruit to finish. The chihuahua was very friendly and had no visible signs of any disease as some reviews say. In summary this is old style small Greek village restaurant with only what they have available to cook. Set your expectations accordingly and you...
