First thing's first, this is a very popular value for price Greek restaurant, especially famous among Turkish yachts, meaning 90% of the crowd will be Turkish:) so basically this area is similar to Bodrum (Türkbükü'nden hallice). The intro says it all but let me continue. The restaurant is always full as I see, I stayed at the Panteli Hotel right behind it, so we (2 families, total 5 people) sat at Psarospoula as soon as we arrived, lucky to find a table. The rest is just disaster. Our friends had eaten Greek salad and seafood pasta, average taste. Then apparently their child order later, at last me and my husband arrived and tried to order for like 15 min, nobody's answering. Finally the owner of the restaurant came, we were happy to order then he started shouting at me, speaking a stupid English to say "why didn't you order all at once and ordering one by one". I left the place immediately and found a beautiful restaurant nearby and ate the most delicious lunch with kindest service (thank you Pirofani).
Sorry Psoropoula, I don't care how good your food is, you cannot treat anyone like this, let alone customers. Worst place I've ever...
Read moreNestled on the serene shores of Leros Island in the Aegean Sea, Psaropula is a culinary haven that captures the essence of Greek hospitality. Having traversed waterfront dining locales across the globe, from the Caribbean to the Maldives, and from the Gulf of Mexico to Hawaii, Psaropula holds a special place in my heart. It effortlessly combines the rustic charm of a traditional taverna with the refined elegance of a high-class establishment. What truly distinguishes Psaropula is the personal touch of the owner and his wife, who oversee every detail, including the kitchen. The warm and welcoming atmosphere already makes it extraordinary, but there's an undeniable sense that it can only improve further. And let's not overlook the priceless experience of dining by the water, a view that surpasses any other waterfront destination I've encountered in my travels. Psaropula encapsulates the spirit of the Aegean Sea and its people, offering an unparalleled dining experience on...
Read moreThis is a lovely taverna which, if you concentrate on the view to the left (as you look out to sea), is set in a beautiful location. For me the area is spoilt by a loud and brash coffee bar taking over the beach and a hideous hotel both on the right. To the left and in front is a quintessential Greek Harbour and view to some more islands. Why have they let this little bit of heaven be so spoilt I will never understand. But the good news is the taverna still serves some of the freshest sea food and authentic dishes at good prices. A small family run venue that invites you to relax and enjoy your meal, no hurry here. You can't hear the bar but you can hear the sea lapping the shore just below your table. They serve fresh lobster from the tank (massive tank on the wall with loads of space for them to live) local Retzina, silky tatziki, good beer and all the other dishes you expect and would want. We have been coming for years and will continue to...
