Ok so let me start off by agreeing with all the positive reviews on here. This restaurant is a true Jem. Best in the area for variety of food. 1st visit was lovely. Got introduced to stuffed zucchini flowers. I highly recommend if you get the chance.

2nd visit had them again, yay. Also had the lamb and potatoes recommended by the owner.

I was happy to tip a good amount as it was a truly delightful experience all round.

Now at the last day of our trip so won't be able to return for a while. But next time we are in Herakleion we will definitely be...

By far the best meal we had in Crete! A quiet afternoon meal that lasted for hours because of the incredible views, delicious food and drink, and the amazing hospitality from the family owners who made everything perfectly to our liking! We found this by accident when our taxi driver was helping us find a place to eat. It is a long ride from Heraklion, but worth every minute! The scenic bay added to the atmosphere of the most authentic Greek restaurant experience! The food and drink were so reasonably priced, and the host family was so gracious to us! The food is what you would expect from a local Greek restaurant—not gourmet nor bad, but good. I would personally recommend getting starters with the main course since there is little on the side. I'm fine with this because the starters did the job for me.

The owner is very nice from my experience. There weren't many people at 19:30, but considering it was very early dinner time in the eyes of the locals, it makes sense why it was very empty.

Another thing that makes this place good is the view. If you are seated at the right table, you have a nice view of Heraklion, which adds to the dining experience.
