Fasolas Gastrokafeneio — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We stumbled upon this restaurant, initially wanting only a cold beverage before we moved onto another spot. They brought out our beverage with fresh bread, tomatoes and cheese… with that kind service, we decided to sit down and grab a bite to eat and we are glad we did. We ordered their goat dish and the watermelon salad. Both excellent but the goat dish blew us away. It was the best meal we had during our weeklong stay in Naxos. I wish I took a picture of the name of the dish but the goat was tender and the entire dish was packed with flavor. We took a pic of it after already digging in, hopefully the photo will show them a little justice. Andreas and Sophia was so kind and attentive, gave us tips of where to go and what to see. Even talked about the history of Filoti. 10/10, we highly recommend paying this place a visit. Our third visit: coffee, pastry, lunch and dinner; excellent cuisine, great staff and a fantastic setting in a tree covered courtyard, away from the busy, noisy tourist area. The cheese balls were amazing, the chicken very tasty and a great melon salad; the lunch meal of French toast and omelette were both very good. The ice creams are fantastic: the rose, masticha and the tsoureki are all we have tried so far but we will be trying the others when we are next there, which won’t be too long! A mixed experience but beautiful setting! Amazing atmosphere and beautiful setting. If I was just rating the setting and ambience I would give a full 5 stars!

Good food but very small portions of meat with a lot of fat and bone. We had Pasta with cheese, lamp with pasta-rice, pork with pasta and bread & olives.
