Samaradiko Café — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

The best cafe in Apeiranthos, and maybe even Naxos. We drove fourth minutes to get to this village for the first time and the warmth of the owners and their lokomades forced us to make the track a second time in our 5 day trip to Naxos. The lokomades is exactly how my late grandmother used to make them, undoubtedly the best in Naxos. Don’t be afraid to try anything else on the menu as all their food is made with natural, local, and high ingredients; and of course with love. Definitely give the orange cake with ice cream a try, you will not regret it.

Oh and I forgot to mention the breathtaking views, along with the nice breeze, the atmosphere of the place...

What a view. We only stopped for coffees here as we'd been driving around the island for a few hours on quads. If you go from Naxos town centre over the hills to this place using Google maps, you'll be in for one of the prettiest drives of your life, driving up and around the mountains of the island before dropping down along the cliff face into the town where Samaradiko is. Beautiful place for a lunch stop, with a gorgeous green view. Our waiter was lovely and surprised when we asked how her day was (gees people show some kindness to service workers). We had the Greek salad and wine/beer combo for €5.90pp, it was delicious and a huge serving. We watched a couple next to us share just one if that gives you any indication of portion size.
