The location is the only thing I liked.
The ,,professional" behavior of the waiters make you say nothing in the end , or asking why they charge you services and products you have not asked, and you have not eaten; prevents you from asking explanations why risoto is sour and shells heaved Sand and little stones in them ... (because they know that you are on vacation and that you want to have a pleasant experience not to make a scene by creating a conflict)
I was here on September 17, we was two couples and I ordered: two portions of risotto, a portion of seafood pasta and a salad. My portion of risoto was with vegetables and two kinds of shells, the rice was very uncooked and very sour, the white oysters had sand and small stones in them, probably not washed at all.
The other Risoto was with mushroom and the rice was very cooked, (soft) and the taste was bitter.
In conclusion I can say that I went with restaurant expectations and I left with the impression of location where the appearances are very much mistaken.
The food was cooked by unqualified people and served by the thieves (I'm sorry to draw this conclusion) but I do not know how to fit the fact that the waiters have brought us the bill and when we asked what the extra money is for, they told us that it represents the value on the non-ordered bread (I do not know if they eat pasta and risotto with Brad :), on the napkins and on the the table top.
PS In the menu says that the seafood served here comes from freezed packages, NOT FRESH SEAFOOD.
A totally unpleasant experience, we ate very well elsewhere in...
Read moreThe food was really delicious and most of the waiters were really nice. However, the behaviour of the rest really darkened the mood. First, I made a reservation 2 months in advance because I wanted to celebrated my birthday with my family, and I specifically asked for a table next to the window so we can have a better atmosphere. Second, however, when we arrived they said they can’t give me the table I reserved and accused me of lying about the timing of the reservation (????). After some discussion finally gave me a table that was closer to what I wanted and then told me that we have it for only 2 hours and 15 min. Something they failed to mention when making the reservation. I would have not booked if I knew that. And I called 2 weeks before my reservation to confirm the table, and they again didn’t say anything. During the dinner we felt rushed the whole time. We wanted to order dessert, I had candles, we wanted to order more drinks, but we were asked to leave because our time was up. And in the rush I forgot my candles. And lastly, my mom wrote a review saying we were there for a birthday and wanted to celebrate longer, and the owner answered that because we were four it couldn’t possibly have been a birthday ?? What does that even mean? What is the minimum for a birthday celebration? Anyway, I wouldn’t go back to the town let alone this restaurant. Because it doesn’t matter how tasty the food is if you aren’t...
Read moreMarina is a restaurant with pleasent interior. Everything around was promissing a good food also. We have ordered, among other meals, a sea shells crudo. They told us that they are very fresh. That was a big mistake. They were not. After few hours we got very sick. Anyone who consume sea food crudo knows how dangerous it can be if this food is not fresh. It takes almost three years to give that restaurant second chance. We did it today. Everything was fine about the food. We have ordered seafood pasta, sea bream carpaccio, stuffed squid and smoked mackerel. The food was delicious. The service was not at the highest level since they put starter meal into main course, but that was not the only mistake they made. From the begining they were very cold and didn't make an effort to make our lunch more pleasent. At the end they also forgot to offer us sweets or fruit which is a custom in all Greek restaurants. The other tables around recieved theese fruits and cakes. That was direct insult. While paying the bill I asked how it was possible and they said that it was mistake. It wasn't. They simply don't treat all visitors in the same level. Greek visitors are favorized. Now I am wondering did they give us on purpose those seashells three years ago knowing that they are not fresh? Who knows, but I will not give them a third...
