Visited the place at about 22:00 on Sat. 10th of July. The look and feel was cosy, having live music was a plus, but little did we know about what was coming next.
Firstly, the waiter did not use any protection mask, 😷 as he was supposed to following the Covid protocols.
Then comes the order time. As a couple we decided to order something to drink, 2 appetizers and a main dish for each of us. Effectively, a typical order for a couple.
Then the guy came by to take the order and decided to sit on our table and write the order, as if we visited the place together. This is something not major but at the same time, it is not OK either. This is the first time in my life visiting a restaurant and having waiters sit on the table to take the order.
We announced our order to the waiter. At that time, I asked the waiter about the main dishes; specifically how exactly are they served. Only then he informed me that the squid (main dish) we were about to order was not fresh but rather part of frozen goods. This was never written in the menu. The goods were promoted without the frozen label, they are supposed to have by law and prices matched these of fresh goods.
We decided to proceed with the order as this is what we wanted to eat and it took some time for us to decide, but we didn’t like the situation.
Note that, right after our order was given, another couple arrived with their daughter and they placed their order as well.
Fast forward 45 minutes later. We are sitting on a table with only a drink and no food, not even the appetizers. The appetizers were nothing special, just French fries and fried courgette. As we are running out of the drinks, in the distance, I see a waiter coming by, holding the appetizers we ordered in the basket. I think “hey, it took a while but here we go”. Then the waiter proceeds and gives the appetizers to the couple with a daughter that arrived and placed their order after us!!!!
This was very displeasing and disappointing, I took my fiancé to dinner and this was over the top. We decided that we are willing to wait 5 more minutes, as what was happening at this place was really atrocious.
Five minutes passed by, no food arrived, the only thing I noticed is other people being served first again, no order line was really respected.
We just stood up and left the place, straight up. The whole situation was a joke really and I highly doubt that the reviews I read here are genuine.
On our way to the next restaurant, I called them to say that we left and how displeasing this situation was. Then, the lady that replied the call, said that she doesn’t know what I am taking about and that order lines are always respected. Never apologized, never said anything meaningful really other than BS. To put it simply these guys prioritize orders from bigger tables.
I will never visit this place ever again. It was a waste of time! A great way to ruin a...
Read moreDon't go! They are ripping off tourists. We paid 110 euros for two people. It was the worst and most expensive fish I have ever tasted in Greece!
Response:
Parko Restaurant Management,
Thank you for your response.
However, I would like to clarify an important point. During the meal, I was told that the fish cost 30 euros per kilo and that each fish weighed around 500 grams. This meant that one fish cost 15 euros. However, when I received the bill, I saw that you had charged €60 for two 500-gram fish, to which I objected. Nevertheless, I was still required to pay this amount. This situation is unfair and clearly constitutes a rip-off targeting tourists.
The day before, we enjoyed an excellent buffet dinner at a 5-star hotel nearby for 45 euros, yet you charged 30 euros for a 500-gram sea bass, especially since it was stated when I ordered it that it would be 15 euros.
This isn’t our first time in Greece and we have eaten fresh fish many times before. Having grown up in Izmir, we are quite familiar with the average price of sea bass. As Mediterranean people, we are experienced enough to recognise when we are being taken advantage of.
We hope you’ll reconsider this practice and avoid repeating...
Read moreToday we visited the town where this “restaurant” is located. We wanted to have a breakfast and were looking for a traditional greek gyros. At the entrance we were advised that for sure they have one. The prices are higher than in good greek taverns. After we ordered one gyros and hamburger they served us just a chicken cut meat with potatoes (gyros) and a single huge cutlet with potatoes (hamburger) as well +bread. We explained that expected to get a standard Greek gyros in pita and a standard hamburger with cheese some salad maybe cucumbers but not a cutlet on a plate. The waiter was mad and impolite after arguing we declined to pay for the food, bread and water which we didn’t order and just paid for our drinks. To my mind they need to rename the dishes in their menu not to mislead people and do not name a cutlet - a hamburger! One more thing which shows a poor Customer Service there, when we left a cafe I said to the owner Goodbye and he answered - NO goodbye. As for me, the place doesn’t cost your time to visit it, we traveled further to another town and had a great brunch for...
