Ta Kastra is an absolute gem! The food was amazing—we tried the fried calamari, steamed mussels, baked feta with honey, Greek salad, and shrimp saganaki, and every single dish was bursting with flavour. The fried calamari really stood out—perfectly crispy, tender, and seasoned just right. The baked feta with honey was the perfect balance of savoury and sweet, and the mussels were fresh and full of flavour.

The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. If you can, try to reserve a table at sunset—the view and atmosphere are magical and make the whole experience even better.

EDIT: we visited again. Food, service, everything was impeccable! They were very patient with my three years old, who was throwing the cobblestone all around the place and chasing the cats! Definitely recommend! So Google said they are open at 12:00. We went on a rainy day, the staff was sitting outside, drinking coffee and the door wide open. A waiter came out and said they are not open until 12:30 and we need to wait and he shut the door. No, we didn’t wait, although we wanted to try the food very much, based on the recommendations. Ta kastra is traditional tavern with a great atmosphere, delicious food, high service, beautiful music and a unique view of the canal. Sincere smiles of the staff and attention to each guest are provided. Everything is delicious here: meat, fish, salads, snacks.
