Pirates — Restaurant in Municipality of Nea Propontida

#Am revenit la acest restaurant cu așteptări mari, după o experiență excelentă anul trecut. Din păcate, ce am trăit anul acesta a fost de neacceptat. Am fost un grup de 5 adulți și 3 copii mici și, deși restaurantul nu era complet plin, am fost tratați cu o nepăsare totală. Am fost conduși la o masă, dar am primit un singur meniu pentru toți. Am așteptat peste 20 de minute până când am reușit să facem semn unei ospătărițe, care ne-a spus că nu se ocupă de masa noastră. Am presupus că va anunța colegii, dar nimeni nu a venit. După încă 10 minute, un alt angajat a venit doar ca să ia meniul de pe masă, întrebându-ne dacă îl poate lua înapoi — fără să ne întrebe măcar dacă vrem să comandăm. În tot acest timp, o altă masă sosită după noi (cu 5 persoane) a fost servită imediat, în timp ce noi aveam deja 3 copii nerăbdători și flămânzi la masă. A fost o lipsă gravă de respect și profesionalism, mai ales când este vorba despre copii mici care nu pot aștepta atât. Nu există nicio scuză acceptabilă pentru acest comportament. Nu este vorba despre un simplu inconvenient, ci despre indiferență totală față de clienți. Am fost nevoiți să plecăm după aproape o oră pierdută inutil și cu starea de spirit ruinată. Cu părere de rău, nu vom mai reveni și nu recomandăm acest loc.

We returned to this restaurant with high expectations after an excellent experience last year. Unfortunately, what we experienced this time was completely unacceptable. We were a group of 5 adults and 3 small children, and although the restaurant was not completely full, we were completely ignored. We were seated and given only one menu for the entire group. We waited for over 20 minutes until we finally caught the attention of a waitress who told us she wasn’t responsible for our table. We assumed she would inform her colleagues, but no one came. Another 10 minutes later, a different staff member came by just to ask if he could take back the menu — without even asking if we were ready to order. Meanwhile, a group that arrived after us (5 people) was served immediately, while our 3 children were hungry and clearly losing patience. This was a shocking lack of respect and professionalism, especially when it comes to families with young children. There is no excuse for this kind of treatment. It’s not just poor service — it’s a complete disregard for customers. We were forced to leave after almost an hour of wasted time and ruined mood. Sadly, we will not be returning and we do not recommend this place.

Wir sind mit hohen Erwartungen in dieses Restaurant zurückgekehrt, nachdem wir im letzten Jahr eine großartige Erfahrung gemacht hatten. Leider war unser Besuch dieses Jahr völlig inakzeptabel. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 5 Erwachsenen und 3 kleinen Kindern. Obwohl das Restaurant nicht voll war, wurden wir komplett ignoriert. Wir bekamen nur eine Speisekarte für alle. Über 20 Minuten warteten wir, bis wir endlich die Aufmerksamkeit einer Kellnerin auf uns ziehen konnten – sie sagte, sie sei nicht für unseren Tisch zuständig. Wir dachten, sie würde es an ihre Kollegen weitergeben – aber niemand kam. Nach weiteren 10 Minuten kam ein anderer Mitarbeiter, nur um zu fragen, ob er die Speisekarte zurücknehmen dürfe – ohne uns überhaupt zu fragen, ob wir bestellen möchten. In der Zwischenzeit wurde ein Tisch, der nach uns ankam (5 Personen), sofort bedient, während unsere 3 Kinder bereits unruhig und hungrig waren. Das war eine große Respektlosigkeit und fehlende Professionalität, vor allem gegenüber Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Für ein solches Verhalten gibt es keine Entschuldigung. Es geht nicht um langsamen Service – es geht um völlige Gleichgültigkeit gegenüber den Gästen. Nach fast einer Stunde Wartezeit mussten wir gehen – frustriert und enttäuscht. Leider werden wir nicht wiederkommen und können dieses Restaurant...

My favourite place for excellent food and the fastest service. 6 years and many visits confirm my approval, especially on the boardwalk beach area. Tonight, because of the rare bad weather we decided to eat inside. It was obvious that a staff member decided my English husband was a second class citizen and all the staff participated in the 'rascist' conversation. We ordered the same food we had eaten 2 days before. To watch customers turn up 15 minutes after and receive their orders while we sat there with no salad, the starters which are normally obligatory within 5 minutes of oredering. Then receiving 1 main course (still no salad), while my husband sat there watching the staff clearly knowing something was wrong. The atmosphere was deliberately uncomfortable. I then had to ask a staff member what is wrong and was told your food is here now with his body language making me uncomfortable. For me as a Greek woman and to sit a table and leave plates of normally excellent food unfinished because we felt truly uncomfortable is a disgrace to your restaurant and a shame on Greek culture and hospitality. Food is fresh and tasty ( salute to cook chief ) , menu possess offers for everyone's pocket. This place represents Greece from A to Z such as : Food Music Environment Polite employees ( first of all people )

Prices are bit higher obviously due to sea view aka Location and other factors which are completely reasonable with the all good things this place provides. For 3rd party countries its not so cheap but hay hoo , if you want to eat in quality manner you need to be prepared and pay.

Lack of 5 star is due to : Presence of Dogs and Cats (no owners) Lack of explanation to new visitors on which meal has which add-on's Highest priced fish didn't had anything as an add-on such as potato as i.e. where I was in a need to request potato separately which isnt the case in other countries. So great restaurant is seeling juice in tetrapack instead of glass bottled juices
