Best way to describe my experience after the recent (unfortunate) menu change would be disappointing. Having visited the place before its temporary closure, then being a Polynesian inspired restaurant with a small but perfect menu, I was thrilled to finally be able to visit it again. First thing that struck me was the (barely) Italian menu. Being a person with the most basic of Italian knowledge, even I could tell that it was full of embarrassing typos. And I wish the bad review would end here, but it goes way beyond the menu itself. Service was poor, made the easiest of tasks seem herculean (not thinking of emptying our table before proceeding to serve our main dishes for instance, thus making the experience a hassle). Got almost all of our dishes wrong (we asked for 3 picanhas 2 rare and 1 medium rare, they made them all rare, we got a Secreto Iberico that way way overcooked and partly burned, and when we complained about it they proceeded to deny any issues with it instead of changing the dish, making us seem rude instead). To finish it all off, the decoration from the time the restaurant was Polynesian themed is still in place, thus making the experience a tad more weird than it already was. The single star I added to this review is because of a cute cat that kindly kept us company during dinner, can’t think of another reason to add it. For a fine dining restaurant, they completely missed the mark, not recommended if you have high...
Read moreAlthough a beautiful setting it is a completely pretentious place. Absolutely no warm welcome from the hosts. They judge you based on your clothing even if they don't say it, one waiter stared at my bag for a long time for no real reason. We had no smiles, no hello from the majority of the young over dressed non waiting staff. At the front desk we were immediately told the place had an event that day but when we enquired and pushed a little for information there were seats available and the staff quickly put together some tables for us. Unfortunately the seats were bar stools and completely uncomfortable. For someone with a disability in my knee, it was really uncomfortable and not appropriate. This place is not accessible for people with disabilities or anyone considering coming with a wheelchair although there is a wheelchair sign on Google. It is also a place that in 2024 seems to have no clue about equality and diversity. Alternative seating could have been provided but even thinking about asking the staff made us feel uncomfortable. All the young people at the front door had vacant soulless faces with absolutely no professional hospitality experience it seemed. I came from London to spend a good time there with my Greek friends and we stayed a maximum of 3 minutes after feeling unwelcome. Do better please Gajah. This is...
Read moreReally creative and fun to visit. I feel like I am in Tulum. Lots of waiters running around - so the service was great! Food was ok - menu is just enough for a variety of options, there are also options to share- food decorated and presented nicely - I would say a bit over priced - be prepared to pay at least 35 euro a person with one drink and a simple plate - if you want stake be prepared to pay 60 euro a person ! but it’s a nice spoil for once in a while - best part of the lounge area that allows you to have a Hooka. Super cool area and super nice! Drinks were ok - they could be more creative and better decorated. The pull pork Bao buns were great - the prawn Bao buns were a bit soggy - the crab salad was nice and it had cute cheese balls as decor which were really nice! The atmosphere is great and the tables eater features and round tables really make you feel like you have been transferred to an exotic location. The music was a bit loud and we were screaming my to talk at the table - but it had a good vibe and feeling! I would recommend it as a unique visit and experience ! Suggest you book a table before you go. And also there is parking but not sure if over the weekend the parking is full because it looked small. We were lucky cause we visited...
