This taverna is in the middle of a typical Greek village. But that is where it ends. The taverna is set next to and on the village square and Venetian church. There are lovely views from the square. The food is excellent and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. All staff speak good English. The highlight of the meal was the dessert Sfakiani pita (cheese pie smothered with honey), if you have not tried it, it is a must. The red wine is from their own grapes and very reasonably priced.
