Disappointing and hostile experience. When arriving at the restaurant there is no booking in our name. The manager insist the error is ours. He shows us another reservation for the previous day, and tells us he does this every day and we dont, so is must be our mistake. On the Thursday we made two reservations for the weekend in Rhodes. One for Friday and immediately after another for Saturday at Kerasma. I attempt to explain the manager that: It makes no sense that I would have booked two reservations for the same night within the space of 2 minutes my friend who was next to me when I made the call confirms the reservation was made for Saturday. Rather than to attempt to accommodate the situation he continues blaming it on us, and says we should have made the reservation by mail. After a short while the manager reluctantly concludes that the error could have been made by both parties and tells us to go way for an hour and come back for a table then.. After having repeatedly been blamed for the situation and with no offer to make amends we decide to eat at a less hostile...
Read moreHad dinner here this evening and it was fantastic! We started out with a complimentary aperitif which was light and refreshing. We followed that with the pita and three Greek dip appetizer. It was nice and light with thin, well prepared pita bread. This was followed by a complimentary small scoop of sorbet with some faint hints of chili pepper to balance the cool sweetness of the sorbet. Next came the mains which included the sea bass dish and the salmon dish. Both were clearly prepared by a chef that both knew and loved what he/she was doing. The fishes were excellent and the sides were equally impressive. Finally, we received a complimentary vanilla panna cotta dessert item that was sweet, light, and creamy all at the same time. Throw in three glasses of wine and a bottle of still water and for 60 euros, I felt like we underpaid for a high quality dining experience. Overall, seriously good food prepared by a highly talented kitchen at a very reasonable price. Bravo! Highly...
Read morePeople always say to go to crowded restaurants filled with locals if you want the best. This restaurant was near empty al night, but one of the best gems we have encountered in a long time. It is a typical restaurant where everything is normal, but the food is great in simplicity and more so in quality. The starters were excellent, and the main course was outstanding. The fish was extremely fresh and I had the pleasure of eating the thickest dover sole fish in my life, while we in the Netherlands think we are famous for them. This is one of the rare times where quality and price really match up. I never have eaten better for the amount I paid. This restaurant knows what is important and that is the quality of the dishes you get. This should be the example for every restaurant owner who takes his job seriously. On top of that, the service is excellent, the wines are great and nothing is decadent. It is just good! I really cannot find a reason why a food lover should...
