We had dinner there a while ago. We were very disappointed. The atmosphere was cold and awkward, there was only one more couple next to us which is pretty odd for a Friday. The place felt promising since they had an impressive display of their meat in a fridge at the entrance.. We ordered the Caesar salad, it felt like those premade salads you get from the supermarket, the chicken was frozen chicken nuggets. After that, we ordered a burger and a tagliata. The buns of the burger were old and were crippling while eating the burger, they had a synthetic texture, the beef was thin and well done instead of medium rare and the chips were frozen. The tagliata was overdone , not medium rare. I’ve dined in many original steakhouses all over Europe I know a medium rare steak when I see one. I told the owner that I’m not happy with how it’s cooked. He insisted on gaslighting me that my steak was medium rare. He offered to change it but personally, I’m not okay with so much food being thrown away. In the end, we ordered the chocolate cake, which was complimentary from the owner, it was also outdated and spongy. The house wine was definitely watered down. The carpaccio was good. If I remember correctly, the burger was a god 20euro and the tagliata was around 40 euros. You’d expect a lot better from a so called steakhouse. My girlfriend received her steak burned!! We complained about it, the owner of the restaurant just said that is how it’s supposed to be (we ordered medium done) and then 5 minutes later came asking if everything is okay even though we just told him it isn’t. Feeling not welcomed: We were the last customers in the restaurant and were almost done with our dinner at 22:30. We saw how the restaurant owner put off the music, when we asked him about the music he acted as if he didn’t know what happened and put it on again. He kept walking passed us and back and starred at us until we ordered the bill, he really wanted us to leave already and even ordered us a cab before we even paid yet- It would have been better to ask us politely to leave soon vs being passive aggressive towards us and making us feel unwelcome.
