Second time staying at Lardos Greece. Spent Wednesday morning with the kids lounging at Lardos beach, decided to wander across to Taverna Katsouni for lunch as we heard new owners had taken over the restaurant and unexpectedly ended up spending most of the afternoon here! They had live music which was an added bonus, drinks were tasty and the food was fresh and full of flavour. Staff were attentive and friendly! We even met one of the young new owners “Mia” who swung by the table to make sure the food was okay and ensured we were well taken of! I hope word spreads around about this little gem. Really disappointed with this restaurant. Waiter and waitress were very unfriendly compared to other restaurants we ate at during our stay. Had 2 salads which were only mediocre. Were not allowed to smoke despite the kitchen staff doing so along a passage way customers used to use toilets. Paid 20 euro for 2 sunbeds and when we asked about free water which all the other establishments provide, we were told sarcastically that the sea water was free. Would never go back there.
