We booked via Tui and upgraded to what they refer to as a one bedroom family room, which was detailed as twin room with extra beds in the lounge. It turned out to be two rooms, one twin and one double, with a sort of kitchen area in the middle. The area in the middle looked like it used to house a kitchen area but this had been blocked in apart for the area for the mini fridge. There was a coffee machine and kettle, plus cups and glasses for four people, no counter top, just a pained top that was not practical. A kitchen table with 3 chairs and a dressing table! Each of the bedrooms only had a wardrobe and bedside table.||We had a small balcony overlooking reception, it has two chairs and a small table, not sure how this would work for a family of 4. This was not swept or mopped during our stay. ||The hotel is in the perfect location close to the beach. It’s a very small property with only 30+ rooms. There is a snack bar/restaurant near the beach with a lovely outlook. We had breakfast every morning included in the price, and had a few lunches there too. Breakfast is just continental, but enough choice. The couple working in the snack bar were very friendly and helpful, they deserve 5*||We hired a car and went out and about most of the time, but did use the beach and pool area from time to time. The pool is just small and was cold, but that’s just the time of the year. Sun-beds are comfortable and readily available, so no sun beds wars here. ||All in all we had a lovely holiday and really liked the hotel, location was perfect, grounds, pool area and restaurant well kept and clean. ||Sadly the big negative for me was the cleaning of the rooms, or should I say lack of cleaning. We stayed for 11 nights plus paid for late departure on our last day and only had 2 towels/linen changes during this time. The cleaners came in daily to empty the bins, but that was all. On the two occasions the towels linen was changed nothing else was cleaned. Floors not swept or mopped, sides never wiped down and bathroom not cleaned. Because there was no sink in the kitchen area we had to wash cups and glasses in the bathroom sink, not very hygienic. We purchased washing up liquid and sponge for washing up, plus antibacterial wipes to clean the sink etc. ||The bathroom wasn’t very practical, floor flooded when taking a shower. Small shower tray with dirty shower curtain. The tiles round the shower really could have done with a good clean. I know it’s almost the end of the season but really did feel cleaning standards had slipped which let the hotel down which is sad.||We would stay again, but next time I will be more vocal if I have concerns...
Read moreWhen we arrived late at night there was no one on reception as it stops being operated at 4pm daily (even in the day there is no one there). Our room details on a sheet of paper left behind the window stating our keys are in our room door?? This is not a secure nor safe method of checking in and existing guests had to help us and other new arriving parties with our check in… ||The walk to the hotel front desk from the main road is very dark at night and as two young women travelling alone we felt unsafe walking down what appears to be a derelict road. Also, groups of men often stand on this dark street corner and is not a pleasant environment. Be mindful of this if you are travelling in small groups, especially women. ||||Also, we found the MALE staff to be very friendly and informative when approached, unfortunately we experienced rudeness from the female staff members in the restaurant and reception. It always seemed like an inconvenience to serve us, however we noticed a difference in attitude when they were attending to families and older couples. We also witnessed this rudeness towards other young British guests… I would not recommend to young people. On numerous occasions it was obvious the female staff members were talking about us in Greek and sniggering WHILST we were at the bar. This made us feel uncomfortable and was uncalled for as we remained friendly. Also the breakfast is very limited and is the same every day. ||||Despite this, the beach was nice (be aware it is very stony) and the pool area is quiet and small, however clean and maintained. A strip of shops with a few restaurants within a 2 minute...
Read moreMe and my friend have just got back from having a week stay in this hotel. The hotel is situated right on the beach which is perfect . It was a 30 second walk to the beach. It is a pebbly beach, so if you want a sandy beach, it’s about a 30 min bus journey to Lindos which has the best sandy beach. this hotel was a nice couples and family hotel and was a good stay, however the main things that stood out for us was the service. The gentleman on Reception was lovely, he had amazing service and was always polite, however the other staff- we not so polite. We never received a “hello” or “good morning” or “good evening” we only got spoken to when we were doing something wrong. Terrible service from these staff and it made our stay a little bit less pleasant. The other thing was the “ bed and breakfast” please don’t have high expectations for the breakfast . They say it is continental, but it doesn’t have fruit or pastries. It is in fact just toast and cereal. .. there wasn’t even orange juice, it was orange squash and very very diluted weak squash. They did do cooked food at extra cost (14€ for a cooked breakfast) but we would have thought “breakfast” would include a piece of fruit or a pastry at least. Very disappointed with the breakfast. They can’t call it continental when it lacks both those things. Overall, it was an okay stay, but the staff’s service let it down and the breakfast. It’s not hard to have a bowl of fruit or cut up some watermelon every morning for your guests and to simply say hello when you see them. Thanks guys, but some work...
