Our friends paid us a dinner for a 40ies birthday with 4 courses menu and wine. The table was ready but the waitresses were informed about our special menu. After some time when the waitress came informed us about the menu and we had some discussion for a while... They had removed a meat course which was not in the menù anymore. We had a salad, a Fava, a main dish and a chocolate mousse. The salad (tomatoes, cappers, olive paté etc) was OK but the predominance was a umami taste and there was to much fresh cheese which was not matching the rest; the fava was ok but too much 'watered' and my risotto with lemon and cappers was bad! The cook doesn t know how to do risotto at all, there was again fresh cheese, flakes, and at the end he used to much butter and cheese for the finishing: the result was that was sticky after 5minutes. Didn t like it al all! My husband had a kalamari and said was good. The chocolate mousse was ok, not bad but nothing special. The kritharoto was a piece of art to watch but overpriced, small quantity with a hint of shrimp in it. The cheese balls were a good portion but with a hint of the marmalade. Overall 47€ for 2 starters and 2 beers is too much no matter what. A small suggestion to the restaurant: please stop the practice used by many other restaurants of bringing things to the table when they are not free. If you charge water 3.5€ and bread 2€ you need to ask customers if they want it. You don’t assume. However the service was terrible. Perhaps the waiters had been told to be extra attentive but it resulted in our whole experience feeling incredibly rushed. No time to look at menus before we were asked for orders. Not even half way through entrees before mains came out and we had to work out the jigsaw on our tiny table while waiters held our main plates over us. Asking to clear when we were obviously still eating. Clearing one plate when the other guest was clearly not finished. Even the bill paying was terrible.
