I visited this restaurant yesterday, initially impressed by the friendly and kind staff. As soon as we sat down, bread and water were brought to the table—even though we never ordered them. The food we were served was very good.

However, we were quite surprised when we received the bill. An extra €10 had been added. After translating the bill, we discovered that we were charged €6 for bread (4 portions at €1.50 each), even though we only ate 2 slices and never requested four portions. On top of that, there was an additional charge of €1.50 for bread at the bottom of the bill—meaning we were charged for bread twice when we didn’t even ordered bread.

When we brought this up with the owner/manager, he claimed that more bread had been brought to the table, which simply wasn’t true. We found this not only dishonest but deeply disrespectful.

We came here for lunch. The eggplant dish was to die for. Everyone else's dish was superb. The service was excellent. Always with a smile and checking in. After lunch getting back in the dinghy I slipped and hit the back of my head heavily on the wall. The owner and crew at Pefkos was there to help with the injury providing medical equivalent services. Well beyond what they were expected. So generous and so grateful for their support. Hopefully you don't get to experience their service for medical reasons, but please highly recommend going there for their menu and service. And if you are heading back out to your boats after the meal, support the lady at the kiosk by the pier, who witnessed the accident, ran to the pharmacy and using her own funds purchased iodine to medicate the wound. A very nice restaurant right next to the harbour. A pleasant atmosphere and extremely attentive and fast service. Our meals were excellent. Very nice seafood.. The right to choose your own fish from the refrigerator! The fact that it is pet friendly with nice island music is another plus. Everything was delicious, generous portions very generous Kritama salad (made from local seaweed) and stuffed mussels are wonderful.
