Porto Marina / Πόρτο Μαρίνα — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

It’s hard to find the right words to start this review, because simply saying congratulations to the staff and the cook doesn’t feel enough.

This place is a traditional Greek taverna in Porto Koufo—nothing fancy, but everything was just perfect: the warm welcome, the service, the drinks, the prices, the generous portions, and, of course, the food itself, which was truly outstanding.

I know food in Greece is usually very good, but here it’s on another level. We loved it so much that we went back four times during our stay. From appetizers to main dishes, everything was perfectly cooked. Each meal felt like being part of a tasting experience, and every time we discovered something new to enjoy. All credit to the cook.

A special thank you to Yorgos, his girlfriend, and the whole team. You made us feel wonderful, always greeting us with smiles and good energy—even after long hours of work.

We really hope to come back and see you again!

PS: The owner should consider rewarding this amazing staff and keeping them united, as they are doing a fantastic job. Also, the other Porto Marina restaurant in Toroni could definitely take lessons...

One of the things I hated as a kid and love as an adult is Fish and greens. So whenever I visit a place I have to order that combination. Pair it with ouzo and you taste the meaning of summer.

When you want fresh Fish from a fish restaurant they guide you to their fridges and you can select what you like. For me the best grilled Fish are the medium sided ones. I ordered the sea bass. Make sure the eyes and scales are clean and shiny when you order.

The server cleaned the fish in front of us before serving it and from smell I could tell I made a good choice. The taste is ambrosia itself. I could tell they used sea salt and it was seasoned to perfection. The only thing left on the plate...

We were greeted warmly by Christo and given a table with a picture perfect view. We feasted on greek salad with amazing olive oil and feta, grilled veggies which were so light, tasty and balanced. Delectable calamari which we drenched in fresh lemon juice for perfection. Then came the grilled fish which we hand selected with Christo.
