We were walking up to the restaurant when a cat casually strolled in ahead of us, like it had a reservation. That was all the sign my girlfriend needed, as if the cat were some sort of culinary prophet. Who am I to argue with feline omens?
The place has a massive balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, that practically slaps you in the face and yells, “OPA!” You’d come back just to sip something cold and pretend you're a retired Greek philosopher contemplating life. We ordered the fish platter for two, which arrived looking like Poseidon personally donated it. No frills, no distractions, just an all-star lineup of sea creatures laid out like they lost a battle with frontex. Everything was grilled to perfection. The mussels and prawns were my favorite by far.
We got a liter of house rosé because hydration is important, and it paired nicely with the slow unraveling of our dignity. My girlfriend then used the beautifully filleted fish I had painstakingly prepared to summon every cat within a three-mile radius. Within minutes, our table was the unofficial cat buffet. The other diners noticed. She did not stop.

Read moreOn our second night in Corfu we ventured out to find a nice place for dinner. The beautiful, rustic wooden balcony set against the white and blue of the building drew us in and I'm so glad it did. Greeting you there is a plethora of baskets filled with fresh vegetables and fruits locally sourced and the aroma of delicious food fills your senses. We had a warm welcome from the waiter, we sat on a table overlooking the ocean. We have two boys, 3 and 4 who were warmly welcomed and loved by all the staff. The waiter invited us to see the freshly caught fish, open kitchen and the dishes on offer. We ordered and were absolutely delighted with our meals. I had a fish stew (bourdetto) which was spicy and delicious. The evening was magical and we were given a plate of complementary and scrumptious fruit after we had the bill! On leaving the restaurant we were amazed at the light show put on by the fire flies. Do not miss out on this place it was our favourite and we went...
Read moreA true gem of a family-run Greek taverna with amazing food and welcoming vibes!
The atmosphere is warm and authentic, and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s also worth appreciating that they offer gluten-free options, which makes the experience enjoyable for everyone. When a dish on the menu wasn’t gluten-free, they were more than happy to adjust it—replacing the gluten item with potatoes or another gluten-free option so no one felt left out.
There was a small misunderstanding with our order, and our food arrived later than expected. This clearly isn’t something that happens every day, just a minor mistake. What stood out was how kindly they handled it: they immediately offered us drinks on the house and even treated us to a complimentary dessert—a heavenly Portokopita—that truly made the evening special.
It’s rare to find a Greek taverna that combines such tasty food with such heartfelt hospitality. You...
