Kohyli bay Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Southern Corfu

This ‘restaurant’ was recommended to us and I’m kind of happy it was. It was the worst experience and food I’ve ever had and yet… the funniest. I could not stop laughing. The guy with the keyboard who was playing the demo tracks and trying to play over the top of them, randomly changing tempo or track every so often. The staff who were all over the place with no one knowing which food was for which table and the miserable lady who greeted us and who seemed angry that we didn’t know what we wanted to drink, 5 seconds after sitting down - were all bloody hilarious.

Unfortunately though, they charge people money, and that’s not right. The food contained enough salt to kill a man, and the wait for everything aged me by a decade.

Put simply, don’t go here.

However, it will remain with me as the funniest experience in a restaurant I think...

Food was quite nice and staff friendly but woman tried to overcharge me €23 euros on my bill, so check your bills.

1 thing that really bothered me was watching 1 of the male staff, possibly the owner clear tables and put a pint of beer from a cleared table approximately 2/3rds full in a shelf by a large chest freezer by the bar, a little later I watched him take it out, top it up at the bar and along with other drinks go take it to a table. I was really shocked to see this in full view, but with a pandemic going on really disgusting. We really struggled to enjoy our meal after wonderful if our meal was part leftovers too as its prepared across the road and brought over. It did taste nice but was put off by what I seen.

I really hate to leave bad reviews but this...

Best tavern in Corfu Island. Everytime i visit it's like a massage for my senses. Food will amaze you! I visited others tavernas in corfu but non of them was even close comparing to Kohyli bay. People in here are super friendly and the whole place its just beautiful. Sitting on the white chair with a crystal clear water on your right, musicians playing music life on your left with beautiful Mediterranean food on the table it's just a whole expierience that feeds the soul.
