Our first time here. So the positivesā¦. Place is clean, kitchen is clean and everyone wearing hair nets and gloves, bathrooms are clean. Great job on this!! The appetizers were all great. No complaint at all on that. The negativeā¦. We felt rushed and pressured into buying a fish. The waiter kept pushing for the fish so I got a fish. It was dry and no flavor. A good fish does not need to be soaked in olive oil and lemon to justify the lack of taste. My second complaint is that we told the waiter to pace the food and he just kept bringing the appetizers then the main meals so fast that I felt like they wanted to kick us out of there. It was crazy!! I even mentioned to him to slow everything g down. We were party of about 20 people and it was dish after dish after dish coming out with no logical order. The experience was just not there. I will go again with less people to try it out because it deserves a second chance, but guys⦠please train your staff on serving etiquette. Observe the table before piling on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will likely miss spell names and such and I apologize for that. We had such an incredible evening at to korali. We probably order too much food, but at that point our group had travel for 36 hours with little sleep. We got the Greek salad (amazing), the spicy peppers (amazing) the hallumi (amazing) a baked feta with peppers (so amazing) roasted sardines (incredible). We also wanted a fish and our server, Ellis, brought us to the kitchen to show us the fish. The snapper and dorado looked so good we got both. Again we ordered too much food. The roasted fish presentation was incredible. Then there was the wine! We got 2 bottles, both greek white wines, amazing. The service, between Ellis our server and Mr. Armando, made us feel welcome. Then there's the atmosphere between the sea view and the fricking roof opens up. We had such an amazing night, that we feared we won't be able to top it. Go there. Also, when we left, we walked along the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis restaurant came highly recommended by the local taxi drivers, and the overall experience was a little disappointing. The fish is fresh - we were taken to a display counter and shown the chilled fish we would later eat, which was nice. We were hungry so asked for bread, which did not arrive despite asking a number of times. The portions are HUGE - we had an appetiser each and they were big enough for a main meal. The fish we had was OK, but a little over-cooked, so dry. It came with a jug of neat olive oil which I'm not sure what the use of it would be, other than counteract the dryness of the fish. Service, apart from the ordering, was good. The price was very high though over EUR 60 per person, which compared to the other restaurants we ate at in and around Athens was about 2x the usual price. I dont mind paying more for outstanding food and excellent service, but when they are slightly sub-standard it was a bit of a...
