Καΐκι Beach Club — Restaurant in Municipality of Spetses

We have called in order to make a reservation for sun-beds 2 weeks earlier from our arrival and they informed us that they do not take reservations for small groups (2 persons). when we got there at 10.30 on Sunday morning, they informed us that all the sun-beds up to the middle of the beach were reserved and we could only sit on the back of the beach. The reserved sun-beds did not have any persons on them, they were just reserved.

the customer service was a little slow - however they were having a lot of customers so it was expected to have delays. However, we asked to order lunch, and they informed us that the kitchen was closed due to a wedding taking place, and we could only order pizza or toasts. However, after 1,5 hour after there were burger delivered to the sun-beds.. So someone needs to really work on their communication and decide are they taking reservations or not? is the kitchen closed or not?

The only plus is that it is within walking distance from the Spetses main village, else the sea and the place are...

I felt the following two years ago when I visited this place:” The only organized beach next to the Spetses Chora. That put them in the position of taking advantage of it! They are overpriced for the quality of the sun beds you get! (17€/🏖)They are next to each other (you can hear all the conversations from the people sitting next to you). The beach is stony and next to the water sports station! WC is in a container! 👀 I give only credit to the politeness of the staff and the time of response! The food was OK .”

Today and after the weekend we spent there : The 2sunbeds with umbrella cost now 30€ 😅 and the beds 70€ with minimum consumption 200€!!!! The pr is trying to sell everything reserved and booked, but when they realize you have money to spend, they automatically find you A spot! I was extremely satisfied with the food (I had mpifteki chicken) and the politeness of the staff! They are still taking advantage of their only Beach club existence, but at least...

Overall, all staff were great. With one exception: Mrs Mary, the manager.

The worst customer service coming from her, making one feel like we are blessed for have given the opportunity to be there. We booked sunbeds, and she confirmed a day later. When we turned up on time, she said we were late and had given the beds already. Then, she proceeded to let us know that in her magnanimous grandiosity and generosity, could maybe make us a favor and find a pair somewhere else.

When questioned about her lack of customer service, and that I told her “why do I feel like you’re making me a favor” the answer was “because I am doing you a favor”.

Not a place I would go back.

They should find a good manager.
