It s one of those times when I m actually speechless. Guys, there is no way you can find a better experience on this island. Everything and I mean everything from the rooms to the hospitality and location was amazing (15 min by walk to town and 5 min to the closest beach). This boutique hotel owned by an Italian-Greek family made me feel like home. I wanted to change my flight to stay more. They have thought of every little detail. They picked us up from the ferry and gave us the room earlier. The breakfast changes every day, adding fresh fruits, pastries and Greek specialties. One thing that I appreciated was the fact that we got a map of the island with all the beaches (with/without sunbeds) and a list of the best restaurants in town (all of them were really good, but don’t miss Patralis). As for the transport, they can arrange for you to have a scooter or electric bicycle that you can pick up and park just in front of the hotel. (they have some deals so it s cheeper than renting from town; 25€/day). The rooms are big and the bed was really comfortable. I liked that the shower was in the room, but they have also other options so maybe just ask in advance if you don’t like this one. I also liked that they maintain everything clean. They change the towels every 2 days and the sheets every 3 days. You have a seif, hairdryer, mosquito device in the room and also everything you need for the bath. They also give you towels for the swimming pool and beach if you ask. The swimming pool is open till 22.30. Also, they give you some options for delivery ( which by the way is really fast and good) and you can have a nice diner by the pool. We had the most personal and exceptional holiday at the Oltrenare Inn. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. The location is quiet and close to many lovely restaurants.||What more can I say about the breakfast that others haven't already. The choice is huge with new additions added daily. From gorgeous bakes, vast fresh fruit choices, bread to die for, homemade dips and tapenades. There are endless savouries, meats and cheeses to choose from or you can request a traditional cooked breakfast. All eaten on the beautiful shaded terrace with plenty of tea, coffee and choice of fruit juices offered.||We hired a quad bike, first timers and I fully recommend, to go round the whole island. Also useful to visit the Old Port where there's a great choice of fabulous restaurants.||But what made our holiday stand out were the people. From Mirco, picking us up at the port and taking us back there on our sad return, Adriana, for her wonderful cooking and daily welcome with open arms. To Paola who became like a dear friend. We shared many a laugh with in the swimming pool whilst translating with hilarious results. To Frederico for his gorgeous fish catches that we were lucky enough to sample. Beautiful stay with warm, welcoming hosts where nothing is too much trouble. ||We loved our stay at The Oltremare Inn, from start to finish. Mirco picked us up from the port and dropped us back for our return journey. The room was lovely, simply decorated, calm and peaceful and we had a fabulous balcony with a sea view. Worth getting up early to catch gorgeous skies as the sun rises. ||Brilliant pool, well maintained with plenty of sun loungers and chairs to relax on, following the sun as it moves throughout the day. ||We organised electric bike hire for the day through Mirco, which was a great way to explore the whole island and go beach hopping along the coastline. ||And finally, breakfast - just wow! Literally a breakfast spread of dreams. So much choice, freshly squeezed juices, cappuccinos (loved that they gave us two every morning), freshly baked cakes, cheeses, breads, fruit, yoghurt, and omelettes cooked to order.
