Apanochoritissa in Ano Syro provided one of the best meals we've had during our holidays on the island. The experience was truly outstanding from start to finish.

The menu offers a variety of small plates, each one out of this world. Every dish was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection, showcasing the best of Greek cuisine.

The service was fantastic, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Their attentiveness and friendliness made our meal even more enjoyable.

Given how busy the restaurant is, making a reservation is highly recommended. The view of Syros Island from the restaurant is astonishing, adding to the overall experience.

Apanochoritissa is certainly a 10/10 and a must-visit for anyone...

This is a mandatory visit during your stay in Syros. Amazing setting with views of the town and harbor. Plan to arrive around 7:30-8:00 so you can catch a table on the terrace (no reservations accepted) and enjoy your drinks during sunset.

The food: Relatively simple and deliciously prepared meze (tapas) in small enough portions that can be sampled by a group. It was very busy when we visited this taverna, but nevertheless we had to wait only 10 minutes and we were sipping a nice glass of red, so no big deal 😊. We had to wait a little bit for the food, but it was fully booked so that’s understandable. The food was worth the wait! We had the pork chops, lamb meatballs, potatoes and greek salad. Everything was very fresh and tasty, I really liked the pork chops, they were cooked to perfection. Greek music in the background, but not too loud, nice noise made from the people dining around you and the staff is very friendly too. 5 stars...
