Title: Disappointing Experience - Dry Sardines and Tasteless Food

My recent visit to Meltemi left me quite disappointed, especially considering the high expectations we had due to the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our hopes.

The sardines we ordered were disappointingly dry and seemed to have been cooked long before they reached our table. The lack of freshness was quite evident, and it left a negative impression on our overall dining experience.

Moreover, the rest of the food we tried was surprisingly tasteless. The flavors were underwhelming, and it seemed like the dishes lacked the finesse we had hoped for from a restaurant with such a positive reputation.

To add to the woes, the mussels we ordered were also exceptionally dry, which was quite unexpected for a seafood-oriented establishment.

Service-wise, the staff was pleasant, but it couldn't make up for the letdown in the quality of the food.

While I appreciate that every restaurant can have an off day, it's unfortunate that our visit didn't live up to the rave reviews we had read hear about Meltemi. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and endeavors to improve the culinary experience for future diners.

I might consider giving Meltemi another chance in the future, but for now, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it based on our...

We have been here two times. First time was great, the waiter was really nice to recommend me vegan dishes. At the end they bring you ice creams from the house and I got some watermelon instead, because I am vegan. It was a nice touch. We have ordered appetizers, main courses and drinks.

Second time, I have only had 2 appetizers because the first time I got a big portions of overcooked noodles with a small portion of tomato sauce and didn't wanted it again. The other persons I was with, ordered appetizers and main courses but no drinks. My boyfriend asked for the dessert menu, but didn't get it. The waiter said they only have those small ice-creams which we thought are given as a small attention at the end. We got the check, but no ice-cream, so I have asked if we can get some. The waiter said smilingly: 'Yes, of course' only to say afterwards that we are taking advantage of them by waiting for the ice-cream when we didn't even ordered drinks... First of all, we would have happily paid for some desserts, if they would have served them. And second, we would have preferred for the waiter to say there is a minium spend to get them or to just tell us we need to pay for them... That's not a great attitude. I would definitely not go...

Group of three visited the restaurant twice for dinner. First time everything was good, we had drinks, appetizers and main course, after which we got a small ice-cream on the house. Would rate that dinner experience as 5 stars. Two days later we went again, but choose not to have any drinks, just appetizers and main course. After that I asked if they serve any deserts, with a smile got the reply that they do have ice cream. Considering the fact they didn't provide any additional details on the deserts, 5 minutes later we asked if we could receive the small ice creams as other tables did. Later when we received the ice creams, they told us that their profit comes just from the drinks and we should had not get any free ice-cream as we didn't provide them any profit, even though two of us bough the second most expensive main course in the menu. This was very weird, we would have no problem paying for it or they could just tell us something else, their explanation was just not ok. Will not...
