I had the pleasure of dining at Bakaliarakia twice during my stay in Santorini, and it truly became one of the most heartwarming memories of my trip. The food alone is worth returning for â fresh, flavorful, and cooked with love. The grilled fish was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Their homemade yogurt with fruit preserves was a beautiful surprise â sweet, tangy, and comforting.
But what made this place unforgettable was the feeling. The cozy blue and yellow house feels like stepping into a little pocket of joy. Laughter and music float through the air, the atmosphere is lively yet peaceful, and you instantly feel like you belong.
The kind owner with bright orange hair welcomed us with the warmth of an old friend. Even though we come from different countries and backgrounds, she reminded me so much of my own mother â her sincere smile, her joyful energy, and especially the warm hug she gave me when we left. That hug stayed with me. It was something beyond language â a moment of true connection and kindness.

The waitress was charming and incredibly sweet, she was happy to help us choose the plates we would like the most. The dolmaâs were the best I have ever had and the fig jam on our dessert was made by her grandfather. We ate here 2 nights in a row because we wanted to explore their delicious menu even more, if we didnât have to leave we would have returned...

Great and plentiful food, served fast and priced remarkably low (hope this note isn't going to prompt the lady of the tavern to change thatđ€đ»đ). My mom and I spent a lovely evening here with a picturesque view of the dramatically lit rings of the local medieval tower of Nimborio. Make...
