Captain Loizos — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

We visited this restaurant last week Sunday as we were staying at the nearest hotel to it. Everything from the customer service to the food, and start to finish was 10/10!

We were first going to sit inside the main restaurant, but one of the kindly staff members suggested that perhaps the beach seating would be cooler because of the breeze. He was absolutely right!

I am so glad that I found this awesome place.

Ambiance - it’s tastefully decorated. Also hotel surrounding is very peaceful.

Food - Fried tomato balls - it was thin, crunchy, though it was deep fried it was not very oily to eat. Flavours were very well balanced.

Fish fillet - fish was very fresh and loved the dressing they used to fry the fish, and fish was cooked to perfection.

Gyros - chicken shavings were very nicely prepared, tatziki was yumm, but I didn’t like the pita bread very much.

Staff - Friendly and very kind.

I would strongly recommend this place to others to try...

This was bad. The staff were not polite, and it was difficult to get in touch with them. It took an hour to get the food, even though we were only two people and ordered Souvlaki and kebab, which should not take long. The portions were not particularly large, just okay. The meat in the Souvlaki was dry, and the kebab was not particularly good. However, we did get a very good chocolate mousse for dessert for free. The rating on Google is far too high. The worst meal I have had in Greece, and not cheap. The area around itself is also...
