A hidden culinary gem with a breathtaking view – worth the trip from Santorini, even just to have a meal there!

We visited Panorama Resto twice during our stay, and both times were nothing short of exceptional. The food is not just good – it’s inspired. Every dish bursts with freshness, creativity, and authentic Greek flavors, subtly elevated with a modern touch. The seafood was perfectly cooked, the vegetables full of flavors, and the pasta-stews from various meat specialties - just wow!

But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the wine selection. It’s clearly curated with care and love – featuring local gems from Santorini and Therasia, as well as a few unexpected surprises.

And then, of course, there’s the view: absolute magic. Perched high in Manolas, you look out over the caldera with a sense of peace you’ll never find in the crowded streets of Oia, Fira or anywhere else on the main island.

We cannot recommend this place enough – and honestly, it deserves to be a destination in itself. Even if you’re based on Santorini, take the short boat ride from Oia to Therasia. Come for this restaurant alone – it will be one of the most memorable meals of your...

We stumbled on this lovely restaurant whilst exploring Manolas village during our stay on Thirassia. The village is very quiet during the evenings as few tourists stay overnight. Despite being quiet & early for dinner, we were warmly welcomed for dinner by the most friendly hosts including the chef, and his wife (I believe). The food was phenomenal. In a quiet, residential village we were surprised with the best meal we have ever had in our many years visiting Santorini. Food was innovative, whilst honouring traditional, local cuisine. The wine list was superb featuring the best wines of Santorini & Thirassia to expertly pair with the food. The restaurant has a lovely, calm ambience & offers incredible views of the Caldera in Santorini. But without the crowds! And was incredible value! This is a beautiful, friendly, family run business offering warm Greek/Thirassian hospitality and food that would rival fine dining anywhere in the world (coming from someone who has been to a few Michelin starred restaurants). An amazing culinary experience, perched high above the beach, in the town of Manolas. The food offered is local fare and was delicious. The owner, Yianni is sort of a grill master. The seafood fresh from the ocean, was so light and flakey, I couldn't get enough! My husband had the grilled octopus and was in heaven. The pita bread is fried in a pan and is served seasoned and with olive oil. One of my favorite dishes is the Briam. It consists of a variety of vegetables sauteed in sauce. Fantastic! Also, the moussaka was delicious. The views of the volcano, surrounding islands and the ocean will make your heart skip a beat! Stunning. Our servers were Yiorgo and Vicky.
