Lefkes — Restaurant in Municipality of Tinos

3 people for dinner, very hot night, not busy. We placed our order and did not get any beverages or our bottled water until we asked for it. Waiter instead was cleaning another table while there were many free. They had run out of Nisos beer. Greek salad without olive oil, we had to ask for it. Local cheese ok. Kolokithokeftedes badly fried, burnt on the outside and tasteless except for the flour. Fried potatoes homemade (+) but fried in an overused oil, they were bitter. Pork belly chops (pancetta) the worst ever! Bad meat quality and on top of that burnt. We could not eat it and our waiter did not bother to ask why we had left the whole plate. Soutsoukakia mediocre. While we were eating we saw a cat taking a walk casually on top of a free table and no staff member bothered. If inly I had seen that before we started eating! We went on the spot at 19.25 on the 15th of August which us the busiest time in the island The place was pretty much empty and we asked for a table of 4. The waitress told us that everything was booked , so we left and visited another restaurant in the village . After one hour and fifteen minutes on our way back to the parking place, we went by the restaurant and it was almost as empty as the time we asked for a table. I don't get the reason for not giving us a table . They could have just told us that we could have a table until , let's say , 20.30 or 20.45 , which would be enough for us and very honest from their side. I really wonder how others find the food here delicious. I suppose they havent tried Greek food before. Being originally Greek, I have to say the mousaka I ate here was the worst I’ve had in my life. Even my youngest cousin cannot cook mousaka that bad. The portion I had, half of it was too salty and the other half tasted like birthday cake. It also had so much tomato sauce OMG made it taste so awful. For those who know, we add just a little tomato paste in minced meat and thats it. Such a huge disappointment.
