I had an amazing experience at Ostria in Tinos. The ambiance is very relaxing, perfect for enjoying slow food with no rush. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and the place itself has a nice Mediterranean charm with white wooden chairs and open air seating.
The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. We had perfectly grilled fish, beautifully served with lime, pink salt and roasted vegetables. The fish was tender, juicy and tasted like it came straight from the sea. Starters like fried stynka (smelt fish), small cheese pies and dips were very tasty too. Everything was cooked with care and had a real authentic Greek flavor.
The wine list is also excellent, and we tried a local Malagousia that paired so well with the seafood. Even the coffee at the end was rich and strong, the kind that makes you want to sit longer and just enjoy the moment.
Overall a great place if you want to enjoy fresh seafood, good wine and a calm atmosphere. It is not just food, it is an experience. I highly recomend it and will definitely come back next...
Read moreOstria is a wonderful Greek restaurant situated the perfect distance away from the main town (not too far, not too close) along the coast. My girlfriend and friend and I spent a late evening there and got to sample a wide variety of delicacies. Giorgos, the owner, greeted us warmly and took care of us the whole evening, and showed us what Greek warmth and hospitality is all about :). The cuisine is I would say a modern twist on traditional Greek and Tinian dishes without deviating from any authenticity. For example, we had seafood such as the wild sea bass, mezzes such as a parsely dip with roe, and fennel pies. You won't leave hungry, as the portions are decently sized. We did not try wine but were given very informed ouzo pairing tips. Dessert included a pistachio-based Tiramisu that left us fighting over with our spoons. Lastly, the environment felt lively yet quiet enough to enjoy conversation. The perfect place--we will visit again on our...
Read moreOne of the most memorable dining experiences we had in Tinos! We ate right by the sea, with the waves just a few steps away, in a restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. The shrimp pasta was exceptional – fresh shrimp, perfectly cooked pasta, and a rich, flavorful sauce that we couldn’t get enough of.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. Warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. They didn’t just serve us – they made us feel at home. They chatted with us and with our little one and added such a personal touch to the whole experience.
Highly recommended – a place that combines great taste, stunning views, and true Greek hospitality in the best...
