Tsampia was recommended to us by people we met around the island. We had a good dinner experience there. The people are nice and the food quality of high standards. It met our expectations but not exceeded them based on what we ordered, hence the 4 and not 5 stars, we found the offering being at par with other good Greek tavernas/restaurants on the island. We had a fantastic meal at Tsampiá, one of the best dining experiences of our trip. I ordered the moussaka, and it was absolutely incredible—hands down the best I’ve had during our time in Greece. We also shared a variety of salads and starters at the table, each dish bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully prepared. Pretty good, simple and traditional food. It actually used to be one of our favourites in the island. However, to confirm a few earlier reviews, the service has somewhat declined. The younger staff were still really nice but this was outweighed by the sarcastic tone and attitude of the older lead waiter every single time we went.
