Paliochoraki — Restaurant in Municipality of Vrilissia

Very slooow service! Food much below mediocre (3 out of 10) and very expensive. Disappointing experience in a nice location in a refurbished old house with a spacious patio.

Slow service could not be slower. Kept calling one of the 2 waiters to order something more. He kept saying he will tell the other one (that happened at least 4 times) although the place was not busy at all. We got fed up and asked the bill eventually.

Foodwise it is really much below mediocre (3/10). Eatable but only just... Only the saganaki (grilled cheese was good but this cheese is standard in Greece you only need to grill it and not mess with it, the cheese is bought from elsewhere and not prepared in the place).

Price wise and more details: 1 saganaki ( the grilled cheese) 1 marathopitta ( fennel grass pie) extremely thin and small portion, 1 rather small portion of chips (french fries), 1 portion of 2 medium size sausages and 1 grilled chicken accompanied by some chips. Drinks: 1 mamos beer 500ml and 1 diet coke.

Apart from the chicken fillet plate the rest were small starters. The result was 41 euros!!

Just skip it and carry on straight up in the same road towards main Vrilissia small square. You will find many places starting in 10 meters distance. Walk towards Vrilissia main square (plateia) and pass it a few meters straight and you will find and pick from the places you just saw another place. Or turn left towards main road (Pentelis rd) where there are some more places.

A hidden gem in Vrilissia, offering a wide variety of village style plates; let's call them "tapas" for the uninitiated. The decor and atmosphere matches the theme of the cuisine down to a "T". Attentive, friendly staff. Good portions and presentation. A good spot to hit at any time, we went evening with friends and family. Σκέτη απογοήτευση! Απορώ με κάποια σχόλια που τα βρήκαν όλα τόσο υπέροχα!!! Πέρα απ' τον χώρο που είναι συμπαθητικός οι μερίδες ήταν πολύ μίζερες, άνοστα τα περισσότερα και πολύ ακριβά. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, χαλούμι με πλευρώτους ήταν ένα κομματάκι τυριού μια σταλιά με κάπως περισσότερα μανιτάρια και η τηγανιά κοτόπουλου άνοστη. Δεν φέρνει εξ αρχής ψωμί και αφού ζητήσαμε μας έφερε 4 φετούλες ξεροψημένες με λάδι για τα 4 άτομα που είμασταν. Δηλαδή, αντιστοιχούσε μια μικρή φετούλα στον καθένα μας (μάλλον μας πρόσεξαν να μην παχύνουμε!). Η φάβα ήταν το μόνο που άξιζε γευστικά. Στο τέλος ζητήσαμε γλυκό και μας είπε η υπέυθυνη ότι κερνάνε χαλβά και διαθέτουν με χρέωση πορτοκαλόπιτα. Κάναμε το λάθος να επιλέξουμε το δεύτερο και ζητήσαμε ένα κομμάτι για κάθε ζευγάρι. Μας έφερε στην ίδια πλατελίτσα 2 κομματάκια κάτι σαν δείγμα (7€)! Σαν γεύση ωραίο αλλά τι να το κάνεις όταν αντιστοιχούσαν 2 κουταλάκια στον καθένα μας;! Με τον λογαριασμό ζήτησα να μας φέρουν και τον χαλβά (που ήταν κέρασμα), αλλά το πήραν στην πλάκα και δεν τον έφεραν φυσικά! Τέλος, μας είπαν απλώς το συνολικό ποσό (ούτε ξέραμε δλδ τι χρέωσαν!) και έκαναν αβαβά την απόδειξη! Δεν τους ζήτησα κι εγώ (κακώς) επειδή κέρασα το "τραπέζι" για τα γενέθλιά μου, όμως δεν πρόκειται να...
