Kalamaki Souvlaki Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of West Mani

A great place to visit with either family or friends! Family run and with great attention to the products used and served as the family runs its own meat shop in the area. Where should I begin? The service is smart, partly self service (ie drinks and beverages) party waiter served by using a caller buzzer system since the venue is in the back of the restaurant in a quiet and beautifully decorated open air garden under the olive trees. Tasty salads totally home made by yiayia and mama :-)), great meat options (try the souvlaki, the pork chop and the crispy grilled Mani traditional gourounopoula dish- when available). Terrible service and bad food. Stay away.

The food was old, mushy, and probably mixed with previous customer's food.

They do not include a receipt with the cost of individual items, only the total sum. The waitress changed the prices of items several times, and claimed we consumed drinks that we never received.

I can assure you that it is you who is unethical and should be ashamed. Don't lie to me about using fresh ingredients in your salad, when they're clearly not.

And don't give me attitude when i ask to see a receipt.

Maybe i should recall the tax office and have them visit you? Or the health...

My favourite place in Kardamili. You’ll be assured of a warm welcome at this traditional local favourite. Superb souvlaki but do look at the rest of the menu too - the salads in particular shouldn’t be missed. The garden to the rear of the kitchen is a lovely setting on an evening.

I’m slightly surprised by the negative reviews here and wonder if some of them might be due to it not being a full table service restaurant like most others in Kardamili. The process is: take your drinks from the fridge and chose what you want from the menu. Pay for both at the till, and take your drinks to the garden. The food will follow as quickly as preparing the freshest, quality dishes will allow.
