Where to start? There are no words to do this place justice. It was absolutely phenomenal, from service to food, to pricing.

FIRSTLY the atmosphere-so perfect. It'd be the right place for family, friends, or lovers to get together and enjoy an evening. This place really encompasses the reasons you go out to eat and ticks all the boxes for ultimate enjoyment. They've managed to create a perfect surrounding that's so flexible to its customer. The music is not too loud to not be able to communicate, but the perfect level. The tables are also spaced so well apart, that when you're there, it feels as though you're the only table. You don't overhear other tables, but the background noise of them with the quiet ambient music really allow for an intimate setting, no matter who you're with.

Secondly: I didn't have a used ashtray between cigarettes, and ice and water were ALWAYS topped up, waiters would just do it on their way and by magic, you have everything always perfect. You can ask for any condiments, and they'll arrive immediately. The waiters must have had incredible training, as the other places to eat in the area are not even able to compete on this. They're so polite, accommodating, and friendly.

The cleanliness: Definitely something noticeable given competitors. Everything is spic and span, glasses arrive gleaming and reflective, the bathroom is very well maintained, and you can see into the kitchen, which is absolutely spotless. It gives me a different level of comfort when I see these standards, and shiny cutlery.

I will definitely not be able to put the food quality into words, all I can say is that this is the place to have a foodgasm. I highly recommend everything I've tried here, especially the halloumi tomato dish. The seafood is of the highest quality, you can see a little display as you enter. Every dish is well balanced, and tantilises the palate on every way. You have acidity, herbyness, and the real taste of the ingredient, in perfect harmony. It won't be believable till you try it, and believe me, it was good enough for me to drive 4 hours from Bulgaria to enjoy. There are things I've never been brave enough to try (I have a strange issue with tentacles and seafood), but at this place, I have tackled my fears. I couldn't help it of I'm honest. I tried tentacle seafood (HUGE PHOBIA) yet I actually managed to thoroughly enjoy it.

Even the vegetarian food is so well balanced, with such a range of tastes.. There was a tomato, olive, herby, gorgeous salad that sounds so simplistic, but everything worked perfectly. The citrus, deep creamy flavour, herbyness, olive oil (the type that really gives things an underlying tone of gorgeous) and onions that you ENJOY raw with however they have marinated the dish. I've supported a family restaurant for many years, in which my family and I would play a game of going to restaurants and guessing how to make the food. I'm the champion, yet at this place I'm so busy enjoying and savouring every last bit, I can't even concentrate on trying to recreate such a masterpiece. This is absolutely, by far, the best restaurant I have been to.

And of upmost importance, it isn't occasional. I have been here a number of times and have NEVER had anything I'd be able to ask for an improvement on. In my many years of fussy eating and driving friends nuts with how embarrassingly tediously I notice little things, this is really the first place that has absolutely no 'suggestions'. I dream of working in such a place. You'd be an absolute moron to not try this spot, it's the best feature of Nea Paramos, competing with the moonlit warm baths of the ocean. You'd really be doing yourself a disservice...

Konstatakis Kitchen offers a promising ambiance and a warm, welcoming staff, but unfortunately, my recent dining experience there fell short in several key areas.

I began my meal with the octopus, which took an unexpectedly long 30 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, it was a disappointment. The octopus was overbaked and lacked any notable flavor, leaving me with a dish that felt both bland and overcooked. The texture, instead of being tender, was somewhat rubbery, which made it difficult to enjoy.

Next, I tried the baked shrimp with butter which also missed the mark. The flavors of the dish did not come together as they should have. The components felt disjointed, almost as if they were from two separate dishes rather than one cohesive plate. Some pieces even had a slight bitterness, likely due to not being cleaned thoroughly, which detracted from the overall experience.

The Greek salad, however, was a different story. The ingredients were fresh, but they leaned too much towards the raw, unblended side, resulting in a dish that tasted more like individual vegetables rather than a harmonious salad. That said, the feta cheese on the salad was exceptional—dense, flavorful, and perfectly salted, it was the highlight of the meal. Additionally, the bread served alongside had a rich, homemade quality that evoked memories of traditional, grandmother-baked loaves—dense, hearty, and full of comforting flavor.

While the food had its ups and downs, the service at Konstatakis was notably good. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience more pleasant despite the culinary shortcomings.

In conclusion, while there are certainly bright spots at Konstatakis, particularly in the service and some of the simpler dishes, the main courses left much to be desired. With some refinement, this restaurant could elevate itself to a true Mediterranean gem. For now, it remains a work...
