We stayed in Naoussa, but i was totally worth driving to have dinner here. The place is so lovely, right next to the water. Even though today was pretty cold and windy, we enjoyed sitting out. The waiter did offer us blankets but we brought our jackets. We didn't set our expectations too high since we've been disappointed with some overpriced seafood restaurants on the island/Athens. We were hungry so we ordered 2 appetizers: fried fresh calamari, and grilled octopus. Both were excellent. The calamari was very slightly breaded and fried until golden, crunchy but still tender inside. I didn't care much for the ink sauce but my husband liked it a lot. The same for the octopus.it was grilled just right. Very juicy and tender. At this point we knew our entrée would be good too. But we were WRONG. THEY WERE AMAZING AND SCRUMPTIOUS. OMG My husband ordered the sword fish, which I tried to tell him not to because I always had overcooked and chewy sword fish. But I was so glad he ordered it. The fish was cooked perfectly. It was so tender and fresh. The black rice and the eel sauce complimented the fish so well that we both agreed this was one of the best fish dish we've ever had. I ordered grilled sardines which were deboned and also very delicious. Lentils were cooked and seasoned so well with some acidity. We got free dessert which was mastic sap mixed with sugar. I loved it. The price was very reasonable for the amount of food and the high quality /very fresh ingredients. If you visit Paros, take your time and drive here and try this restaurant. I highly recommend it. P. S. The sunset view was...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Gialos Paros and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. Making a reservation online via Google was seamless, and upon arrival, we were thrilled to find our table perfectly situated right by the edge of the sea, offering stunning views.
The hospitality at Gialos Paros stood out immediately. The manager warmly greeted us and took the time to explain the specials of the day, even showing us the fresh fish available. This personal touch set the tone for a memorable evening.
The service was impeccable throughout our visit. Each dish we ordered was delicious, showcasing the fresh ingredients and culinary expertise. We particularly appreciated that the courses were spaced out perfectly, giving us ample time to enjoy and digest our starters before the main dishes arrived.
The location of the restaurant is truly beautiful, creating a relaxing and scenic dining atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall experience.
Would we return? Without a doubt, yes! Gialos Paros earns a perfect 10/10 from us. It’s a great restaurant with a fantastic location and superb service. Highly...
Read moreUnfortunately I can’t recommend this restaurant for its food. I’m not sure how it got such high ratings to be honest. The food is presented very nicely but the flavour is seriously lacking. ‘Chillies’ with no flavour or spice, under seasoned and over ‘cooked’ ceviche, frozen prawns cut in half (3 prawns in total) on a 16€ salad. The grilled lettuce with the swordfish was just very strange and the moussaka croquettes needed salt. The staff were more dismissive than accommodating when I complained but they did agree to remove the 2 dishes I sent back from the menu and asked me if I wanted to order something else. But I was so disappointed by the dishes I had no enthusiasm to try more. They did kindly offer us a free desert but sadly that was also underwhelming. In contrast and to give context, my husband and I had an amazing experience in the restaurant ‘Soirée’ next door who also made a mistake with a dish but did everything to make us feel happy and comfortable and their dishes were delicious and well curated with a lot of flavour. It felt like they really cared about their customers. I can’t say that about...
